It is time we show the elected Government Officials and Civil Service
Employees at all levels from City to County, State and Federal
Government that they can be recalled from Elected office and that a
Civil Service job like Police and Fire Fighter etc. Does Not guarantee a
$75 -$100,000+ a year salary and almost unlimited benefits like take
home County cars and pensions that are 50% or higher than the 40 hour
pay scale of the job because the employee worked a lot of overtime the
last couple of the 20 or 30 years of employment !
During times of Depression like these when people are unemployed and
under employed and losing their houses, Government employees Must be cut
back accordingly in salaries 10, 20, 30% and in benefits and pensions.
It can be done in a reasonable organised fashion, Or they can be
greedy like current Civil Service employees donating to keeping Mayor
Alvarez in Office are and bank rupt the County Government and lose much
more than a moderate reduction in pay !!
Also seeing Contractors who are building the Un-needed/un-afordable
baseball stadium now giving donations to the Alvarez legal fight to stay
in office, Shows behind the scenes deals and will probably lead to cost
over runs on the stadiums to make up for the donations ?
