NY POST...PAGE SIX
------------------------------------------------------------------------
FOR Traci Lords and John Enos, the end of their two-year relationship
came down
to the hard truth about cats and dogs.

His dog killed her cat, a source told PAGE SIX.

Though the former porn cutie and the TV heartthrob broke it off months
ago, the
chilling details of the split are making the rounds now that Lords is on
the
publicity circuit for her role in the Wesley Snipes/Stephen Dorff
starrer,
Blade.

Traci and John became friendly after both appeared on Melrose Place. She
began
sporting a diamond ring in December 1996 - just after we reported they'd
had a
big blowout in a Beverly Hills jewelry store after he wouldn't buy her a
bracelet she'd been eyeing.

The couple's romance apparently continued on track until things went
awry in
their animal kingdom.

According to insiders, Enos's pit bull didn't cotton to Lords' feline,
and the
sultry actress came home one day to find the kitty littered across the
room.

She walked in and the cat was dead on the carpet, says our spy. She
demanded
that John have the dog killed, and he wouldn't.

And no wonder - the cat-chomping canine has been with Enos for years. He
loves
that dog, a source said.

Asked whether Lords had any comment on the animal armageddon, her
representative issued a terse statement: I'm sure not - and anyway, she
doesn't
comment on her personal life.

Lords, who took her nom de porn from The Philadelphia Story, was born
Nora
Louise Kuzma in Steubenville, Ohio. She catapulted into the limelight in
the
'80s when her XXX videos were pulled from stores after it was discovered
she
was underage when they were made.

Director John Waters rescued her from further exploitation in 1991 with
a role
in Cry Baby. Now 30, she's trying to put her scandal-soaked past behind
her.
And, after breaking up with Enos, Lords admitted to really dating for
the first
time in my life.

Lords showed up at the New York Blade premiere on the arm of strapping
black
model and presumed cat-fancier Malcolm Cross.

Enos, who went out with Madonna and Jill Goodacre before hooking up with
Lords,
is also apparently a free agent.

His manager had no comment on his pussy-hating pooch.

The actor, who just wrapped films with Andrew Dice Clay and Ice-T, has
been
touring the country photographing animals for a coffee table book on
petting
zoos.

John Enos III played the dearly departed Bobby "Meatball" Parezi, whose
character was so blatantly cut from Michael Corleone/Al Pacino in "The
Godfather" it's not even funny. But that's why we love Melrose.

When he first came to Melrose Place, he looked as if he crawled out of a
1970's time capsule. He has no sense of style and had the "hairstyle from
hell", (or 25 years ago anyway). It was hard to believe he was the
brother of Jack Parezi (Antonio Sabato Jr.)
