Does it annoy anyone else that Heather Locklear is still referred to in
the opening credits as "Special Guest Star"? I know that she probably
wants that because it's an honor, or because she'll make more money that
way, but she's been on the show for a long time now. Besides, what did
she ever do in the first place to get that title? Before Melrose
Place, I'd only heard of her from a sit-com that only lasted a short
while.

She got this title because of course she saved the show from being
cancelled. She was on another successful Aaron Spelling show, Dynasty, so
he decided to see how she worked out on Melrose Place and it worked!

She's still considered "Special Guest Star" because when she came onto the
show.....the ratings nearly doubled!!! That's why she's still considered
"Special Guest Star."

Don't you remember two little shows called "Dynasty" and "T.J. Hooker?" Both
were shows that lasted for quite awhile and starred Heather Locklear, granted
they were both in the 80's. Of course both were Aaron Spelling shows (I think
T.J. was) and that's why Heather was asked by him to join MP when it was in
trouble. Geez, I'm only 15 and know this stuff.

I know what you mean it is annoying. A like Heather Locklear she is one of my
fav. but I think Aron Spelling should cut that out and put her in as a regular.
She isn't going any where is she. other fav. Alison Parker: Courtney Throne-
Smith{now on "Ally McBeal"} , Kimberly Shaw: Marica Cross, Samantha Reilly:
Brooke Langton{now on "The Net"}
Sydney Andrews: Laura Langton{now on Beverly hills 90210}, Jane Mancini: Josie
Bissett:{now returned} and Billy: the most handsom guy in the world Andrew
Shue.

And until recently, Melrose's resident village idiot...

....Personally, for me Billy got less and less attractive each year after
Season 3. I think it's the annual appearance of Drunk Billy that did it.

Is it just me or does Billy remind anyone of a horse? I mean, his face,
his lips, that chin, there's just something about them. Come on, isn't
he very....equine??

Laura Leighton is getting the same treatment on 90210. She was billed as
special guest and her credit was separated by a commercial break from the
rest. What's up with that? She's hot an all, but not especially worthy of
that billing. To be she's playing a very Sidney like character on 90210 as
well with a similar name (Sophie--easier for her I guess)...

What's up with that is either

a) She has a very good agent
or
b) Aaron Spelling is very grateful to her.

or both.

If you watch credits closely, you'll see there are all
kinds "and", "with", "with special appearance by",
"featuring", "introducing" yada yada yada. Agents bicker
about this kind of thing. The business aspect of it
would probably make your head spin.

I just hated watching him kiss or even just talking for that matter. He was a
big drooling slobbering idiot. Just thinking about it is making my skin crawl.
Yuck! I'm definately glad he's gone.
