Max finally announced on R1 DVD...

I guess this was actually announced back in May, but just noticed
myself that this is listed for preorder on various retail sites, set
to street on August 10th:

No indication yet if this will also include the original pilot film,
or what (if any) bonus features will be included.

So, 24 years into its future we'll finally have a complete release of
Max Headroom on home video!

(anyone so inclined should think about selling their LDs & tapes while
they still have ebay clout!)

It's out. There are a lot of neat extras, but notably no pilot film and
Matt Frewer is noticably missing from the extras.

Video quality is pretty good - a little soft and audio a little muffled;
but considering the age I suppose it's about as good as it gets.
