Very little is ever said about Her. We know Trapper was married. Does
anyone know His wife's name ? What episode did it come up in ?

The wife's name was Louise. Came up in many episodes. Most notably the
episode "Kim".

I think Louise is Frank Burns' wife's name. I can't tell you what Trapper's
wife was named, because they never show any of the earlier episodes.

Wish they frickin' would!

Mildred and Louise seem to be two favorite names.

Henry was married to Lorraine. Frank and Trapper were married to two
separate Louise's.

I thought it interesting that Hawkeye's former flame was named "Carlye", surely
an unusual name for the time period.

Yes he was. In the eps Sticky Wicket, Showtime, and The Army / Nave Game, he
was married to Mildred.
In Dear Dad Three, he was married to Lorraine.
(she's got fantastic legs)

There were, I can report, a number of Carlye's B.S. (Before Simon). One was a
young woman of my acquaintance, who inspired the name for the Blythe Danner
character.

Funny how the original name for Henry's wife was Mildred, then Lorraine, then
Col. POTTER's wife became Mildred. Something weird we should know about?

Also, we have a Margaret and a Peg (Peg being one derivitive of Margaret)
and we also have a Benjamin FRANKlyn Pierce, a FRANK Burns and a FRANCIS
Mulcahy.
