I've just been watching "Deluge", and in it Hawkeye mentions that there are
four other MASH-units in Korea. Were they all mentioned in the show? At the
moment I can think only of the 8063rd and the 8055th.
Were any more MASH-units mentioned in the series?
How many MASH-units were there really in the Korean "police action"? I've
read that the 8055th really existed, as Richard Hooker was placed there.

PS
There was also a Swedish field hospital in Korea. That was Sweden's
contribution to the U.N.

I think the 4077th was based on the real life 8055th. In Korea (IRL), there
were five MASH units.

The five M.A.S.H. units mentioned in the show were:

The 4077th
The 8063rd (which was finally seen in "Bombshells")
The 8055th (which Richard Hornberger served in)
The 8228th
and the 3099th (Only mentioned in "Requiem For a Lightweight").

Actully the 8063 a real unit also. One of the doctors who served as a technical
advisor served in that unit

Interesting! Thanks! And the 8055th and 8063rd existed in real-life? I've
also read about a 8076th MASH in Korea and some other units that I don't
know much about -
the 43rd, the 212th and the 807th. Does anyone else know?
