It was funny tonight when I was helping my son with his homework I was flipping
through the dictionary, and actually saw the word "four-flusher"!!! (Slang
word for a phony or fake). I never knew that word was in the dictionary!
Reminded me of one of my all-time favorite exchanges between Marg. and Frank --
"You two-timing four-flusher!!!" followed by mutual slaps and falling into
bed..........

That is a classic scene. Larry Linville and Loretta Swit had really
great chemistry together. (Wink, wink, nudge nudge.) Anyhow, that
scene, and the Hawkeye-as-Marlin Perkins bit from "Germ Warfare" where
Hotlips and Frank are trying to get together for some "brass rubbing"
are probably my favorite scenes for the weasels in love.

Cheers,
Will

I just saw the Marlin Perkins bit for the first time when the DVD came
out... hysterical! It's unbelievable that they cut that scene in
syndication.

Same for me. I was appalled at all the great scenes I was missing
watching MASH on syndication! From the opening sequence of the Pilot,
to the fishing rod scene in "Cowboy," to _two_(!!) of Henry's sex
lectures. Thank goodness Fox is releasing the DVD's, even if they are
releasing them at the rate of mammalian evolution. Between the
missing scenes and the ability to eradicate the laughtrack, it's like
watching a whole new show.
