Does anyone know who the real killer is in that novel because i cant
find a version anywhere. It was mentioned it episode 126 i thing. Also,
who plays Margrets husband Donald?

Although many fans have thought that The Rooster Crowed at Midnight might really exist, this is not true. The novel was a prop for the episode. There is no such novel in reality, and Abigail Porterfield the novelist does not exist either.

While I realize it would have made for a much shorter episode, I've always wondered why BJ didn't just call Peg and have her find the book again at the bookstore... or maybe she had even read the book herself. For that matter, perhaps she was as prone to practical jokes as her dear husband and tore out the last page just for kicks.

You know, it never occurred to me to think about *why* the last page
was missing, or who tore it off. Another thrilling whodunit that we'll
never solve!

This practical joker Peg theory sounds plausible, though.:-D
