During one of the Col. Flagg episodes, Flag, Margaret, and Frank had a
conversation that went something like the following. I would appreciate it
if anyone could give the real quote.

Flagg: You see, I'm with the CIA
Frank: But we thought you were with the CID
Flagg: I just tell people that who think I'm with the CIC

I know what the CIA is, but is there a CIC/CID? And what is it, if it does
exist?

PS: I have sitting right here a 2-liter bottle of Grape Nehi. To those that
mentioned that it still exists:

You mean "Commander in Chief," don't you? And that's usually abbreviated
as CINC, is it not?

There was a G2, (Army intelligence) , and a fledgling CID (CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION DIVISION) - (same episode), And there are now both a CIC (CounterIntelligence Corps) , and and a CIDC, OR MORE CORRECTLY A (USACIDC) ,"The United States Army Criminal Investigation Division Command "
That investigates felony crimes and serious violations of military law & the United States Code within the United States Army. ( that both were offshoots of that eras army G2 intelligence division,,,,, LOL, TOOK A WHILE TO FIND,,, , but alas , no CID and CIC at the time of the early 50's during Korean conflict , but artistic license made for a great M.A.S.H. episode~!!!!!!!!! . tff
