Hi,

I'm watching "Jaws" on ABC at this very moment, and the character of
Quint made a toast to "going swimmin' with bowlegged women"--didn't
I see a post here a few days ago that Colonel Potter sang that song
while taking a shower once?

He sang:
"I like to go swimmin
with bowlegged women
and swim between their legs,
swim between their legs,
swim between their legs..."
and I believe that is all that was said because I thuingk Fr. Mulcahy
walked in at that moment

stop right here and you are correct. (the following "swim between their legs
was one too many) . Yes, Fr. Mulcahey comes in to shower. Potter says,
"Howdy Padre,... watchout, water's as cold as a witch's thorax.
At that point the good Fr. is relieved at hearing Potter's singing, because it
means that the rumored bugout, is probably not true.
