"Daily I am amazed at your inexhaustible ability to just live."
Same for Radar when the whole camp rushes in while he's soaking.
Charles with strategic newspaper, Hawkeye walking to the mess tent
naked (was that mentioned, already?)
There is also an episode in an earlier season where Hawkeye and BJ are in
the shower, and Radar takes their clothes after they make some kind of a
comment about his height. They head back to the Swamp, "heads held high,
hands held low", where the nurses are all waiting for them.

I think that is the one where CEW III is the one playing the practical
jokes, which would make it from season 6, at least. I also think it is
Margaret that takes their clothes.
Brian Christiansen
Actually, that was "Bottoms Up"
: There is also an episode in an earlier season where Hawkeye and BJ are in
: the shower, and Radar takes their clothes after they make some kind of a
: comment about his height. They head back to the Swamp, "heads held high,
: hands held low", where the nurses are all waiting for them.
Margaret took the clothes actually.
Of course, there are numerous episodes where you see people showering, far
to many to list here. If you mean instances in which they are seen by
someone of the oppostie sex, then I can think of a few instances.
ON one occasion, Margaret stormed into the shower tent to demand something
of Potter. At the end of the episode, Petter "returns the favor."
Charles was hoarding water during a shortage, and Hawkeye and B.J. caught
on. They surprise him in the shower, and as they are taking the water
from him, he tries to pursue them, until whistles from the crowd outside
make him retreat.
In the bathtub episode, Margaret bursts in on Hawkeye just as he's getting
out of the tub, though he's managed to put a towel around himself at the
last second. Later, Klinger bursts in on Margaret's bath.
Of course there's also the nudity for medical reasons. Margaret giving a
shot to Hawkeye in "Carry On Hawkeye." Hawkeye doing likewise in another
episode. Margaret giving the "Patient" a shot in the pilot episode, and
recognizing Frank's butt. etc.
I'll make a passing mention of Radar being ordered to show the others his
tattoo on his butt, but there were no members of the opposite sex
present.
Then there's the nudity that didn't happen. IN "the Joker's Wild"
Margaret has convinced Hawkeye that she had walked out of the shower not
knowing there was a big hole in the posterior of her robe.
Of course, I'm not mentioning the numerous instances of sexual nudity in
the series, only cases in which the nude person has reason to be
embarrassed.
The Other Brad
As others have commented, you're conflating two scenes here. When Hawkeye
and B.J. run for it "heads held high, hands held low", it's one of the
practical joke war episodes. But there *is* an isolated scene in a
different episode when Radar steals their clothes from the shower because
of a remark about his height.
Deal Me Out
How long were you staring at me with your dirty little Noncom breath?
Not long! Honest!
You remember the scene in the practical joke episode. Margaret is
getting undressed, and Little Mac comes out of the closet at her....
And the one where BJ wakes up in bed in the nurses tent, and doesn't
have a thing to wear. And then the call to surgery.
And the one where Margaret supposedly finds a big piece of fabric cut
out of her bath robe.

Not a real nudity scene, but in the opening of an episode with
Margaret
asleep with the record player (playing a broken record part
over-and-over),
Radar comes in, and after she wakes up and sees him and he says he was
sorry, he mentions seeing her 'naked leg' (which Margaret first takes
offense at him saying) but then she asks what he thinks of it: "it's a
BEAUTIFUL leg!"
I always get a kick out of that scene, and Radar having to put
everything back the way he found it when he first came in moving
backwards
when Margaret orders him to leave her tent the same way he found it.
> How long were you staring at me with your dirty little Noncom

That was closer to rape than anything else ever showed on
M*A*S*H,
including when the woman Col. claimed Frank did it in one episode!
CY: I've never been to a rape, before. Maybe you could get me one for
my birthday? I think that Stosh and the Barracuda was probably closest
we'll find to rape on the base. Radar definitely wasn't there to rape
anyone. Actually, I'm not sure Radar ever did have sex with anyone
during the show. That's a new, and interesting qeustion.
> And the one where BJ wakes up in bed in the nurses tent, and doesn't
> have a thing to wear. And then the call to surgery.
What did the guys do to get him in that predicament: knock him
out with
a drug?
CY: It's not stated in the episode. Could be....
> And the one where Margaret supposedly finds a big piece of fabric
cut
> out of her bath robe.
Wasn't that incident really a fake to have B.J. get Hawkeye in
the
practical joke contest?
CY: yes, it was. And at the end, Hawk finds out that there wasn't
really shaving cream in Potter's tooth paste, or pepper in Mulcahy's
lunch.

Hawkeye: Often, and with many others
BJ: Once, with the nurse. Which he deeply regretted.
Mulcahy: Celibate by choice.
Potter: Faithful to Mildred. Even when tempted by Lil.
Margaret: Burns on Thursdays, was it? (cept when she was babysitting
the korean kid, and then they had to postpone thier "discussion".) I
think she had Pnobscott at the camp a couple times. She was also in a
relationship with Scully at some point. And tempted by Winchester.
Radar: We're led to think he's never been intimate.
Blake: Brought home the cheerleader, Nancy.
Burns: Thursdays with Margaret.
We did have a homosexual or two as guest stars, as patients. But I
don't remember any practicing homosexuals in camp.
What others? Hawkeye mighta had a few. Burns was the character to
watch when it came to fettishes.
It was certainly implied in Springtime when he was "slaked."
This is is fetish?

Not during the series. He was on his way to in "Fallen Idol" when he got
injured. Presumeably it finally happened aroundthe time he got married in
"AfterMASH"
The Other BRad
I thought he did....one of the times he went to Korea??
Maybe I'm wrong....but I always assumed he had.
But, you know what happens when you "assume"
Radar seems to be going to lose his virginity in 'Cease Fire' (season
one), but in 'The Chosan People' (season two) he claims not to have. And
in W*A*L*T*E*R he tells his cousin that he's never seen a naked woman, not
even during his one-night marriage.

It was implied that something went on in Springtime and again later in the
series when he came back all messed up in Potter's office. But it's stronger
Frank said he had ROTC training in 5 O'clock Charlie, then in Change of
Command, he said he wished he had ROTC training.
As I posted a bit earlier, it certainly was implied in Springtime and you're
right that Radar said that in Fallen Idol.
With MASH, it's episode to episode.
I always assumed just some heavy kissing went on in that ep. But he did look
pretty messed up, so you could be right.
Are you thinking of the Army Navy Game, where he goes off with a nurse who
he has worshipped from below?
Another example of Radar being not so naive in season 1.

True, but since, as I've said, in a later episode, he states very clearly
that he's still a virgin. The "slaking" didn't go as far as implied.

Later episode notwithstanding, if you pay attention to the dialog you find
that all or almost all the sex in M*A*S*H is only implied. When I started
watching in the second season, I was able to go for many months telling
myself that Frank and Hot Lips weren't really doing what they were doing.
I've been in arguments on this newsgroup before over which characters did
have the sex implied in their dialog and which didn't, and ultimately it's
up to the individual viewer to decide for himself. Of course the network
standards and practices of the time are to blame for the ambiguity.

"The Nobel committee is hosting a Dr Who marathon! I have to go!"
Right on all counts, it was the Army Navy Game.
What about all the scenes of various MASHers in the shower? I read inm
some MASH book the actors in teh shower were actually naked - though I
would think swimsuit for men and bikini bottoms would suffice for the
ladies. Of course I also in the same source that in scenes where Hawkey
and Trapper were hung over, Alda and Rogers really were hungover, but I
seriously doubt that.
There was very little actual nudity in the show - remember this was
network televsion on the 1970s. For one very brief one second shot in
The Sniper, we see a glimpse of Radar's vertical smile as he lost his
towel and back back into the shower.
And what about those animals running around. Surely they were not
wearing clothes.

So and when was the other one?
Of course you can't forget Klinger - remember when we first met Sidney
Freeman (though he went by Milton at the time), he diagnosed Max as a
transvestite homosexual and told him to sign the paper admitting he was
a homosexual transvestite for his Section 8 discharge.

People often bring this up as an example of when Radar had sex, but I'm
pretty sure that it was only referring to kissing because the poem in
Klinger's book has the phrase "two mouths thirsty for each other find
slaking."
Wildcat
You know, there's also the fact that Radar obviously purely has no idea
what the dictionary definition of "slake" is.
