I've posted a "Potterisms" message in this newsgroup, now I'd like to
know which quotes from ol' Ferret Face himself are the most memorable.

How about the time Frank's leaving the swamp, and Trapp and Hawk calmly
say 'Bye, and Frank responds, "There's no call for that!" or along those
lines.

Frank(under sedation): Fred?
Hawkeye: Yes, Frank?
Frank: Do you think the principal saw us?

I think one of my favorites is when Frank is on line at the
mess tent, Igor spills some apple sauce and Frank says:

"Apples don't grow on trees you know"!

I can't think of the quote, but my favorite one from Frank was one he said
to Sidney Freedman (2 E's as in freedom) while Frank was in a fox hole that he
was digging. It was something about marriage and his wife I think...

I was thinking about this reading through this thread. I think this episode
was on last night or the night before. The one where Margaret announces her
engagment.

I'm paraphrasing:

"Well mom, no one here likes me, as always, I had this friend, but she just
pretened to like me, y'know the way dad did."

It was sad and sweet.

Without sounding like a smart-alec,, did you pay royalties? How much

Just remembered a Frank classic. One time when he was questioning his
leadership abilities he said something like:

"Well I was the president of the stamp club but that's only because I
had the biggest tongue." :-)

Jack's an old friend. I didn't pay him a royalty, I paid him a compliment.
