...House Calls, with Wayne Rogers, had 2 themes. The first and my
favorite, are on Youtube. Type in "TV show openings 1980 part 1" for
House Calls (it's right after Eishied and Hart to Hart). For
AfterMASH, type in " TV show openings 1984". This is the first time
I've seen the House Calls theme since 1983. I remember
thinking.."It's Trapper..He's a doctor...GO BACK TO MASH!" Anyway,
House Calls and AfterMASH were both good shows, especially compared to
the junk out there now.

...the second version of House Calls theme can be found by typing in
TV Themes 1982 part 1. I read that Rogers didn't think you could hum
along to the original theme. I disagree, and like the first one. I
never liked the second one. Sorry, Trap.

I did an episode of House Calls and never was called on to hum the theme.

You know...I think I knew this but I never really thought about it.
Man I wish it would come out on dvd. I'd like to see you and Rogers,
together again.

I wouldn't mind seeing that episode too.

I started my showbiz career as half of a comedy team called Garrett and
Maxwell. We worked together for seven years and did quite well. There
was nothing more rewarding to me than making audiences laugh and then
laughing about it with my partner at three am eating breakfast. I loved
the rhythm and fun of performing live as a team. My early heroes were
teams like Olsen and Johnson, The Ritz Bothers, the iconic Laurel &
Hardy, Abbott & Costello, Martin & Lewis, the Smothers Brothers and
Rowan & Martin.

Getting the part in House Calls was fun because it was Wayne's show;
but, truth be told, the real thrill for me was that Dick Martin of Rowan
& Martin was the director. Wayne was cool, but Dick Martin was one of my
comedic heroes.

There aren't anymore real comedy teams because it's cheaper to hire one
funny person at a time than two.

LIfe is good.

I really wonder what happened to Burd.
