Sorry to hear that. She was excellent in The Trial Of Henry Blake.
I loved it when she called the officer's, who are trying to see if there's
enough to Court Martial (?) Henry, "High priced bellhops"
Now that I think about Ann Doran, wasn't there another actress who also played
Meg Craddy? I believe there is and her name is Hope Summers (Sommers)
Sorry to hear.
Condolences to her family and friends...

Yes, The opening credits of "The Trail of Henry Blake" (K-408) show that
it was written by McLean Stevenson.
I believe he's credited as "Story by"? Or am I thinking of "The Army-Navy
Game"?

A pedant is someone who thinks you'll be favorably impressed to be caught
in error every time.
"The Trail of Henry Blake" (K-408) was "Written by McLean Stevenson".
"The Army Navy Game" (J-322) was "Teleplay by Sid Dorfman, Story by
McLean Stevenson"
Hi Paul -
Yes, you are... ;=D
R. is correct.

Cheers,
The 'story' was for "Army-Navy", for 'Trial' he's got the sole "Written by"
credit.

: The late Ann Doran (July 28, 1911 - Sept. 19, 2000) appeared as "Meg
: Craddy" in the episode of M*A*S*H where she runs an orphanage and has to
: bring the children to the 4077th.
: I just saw the episode last night on my local station.
: Ann Doran was also in a 3 Stooges short, "Three Sappy People" as 'The
: Countess', in 1939, when she was 28. She was the lady Curly tried to test
: her reflexes on (1), the lady who dropped her serviette (napkin) so Curly
: tore his in half and gave to her (2), and later around the dinner table, she
: gets a cream puff in the face, where she raises her right arm [looking like
: the Statue of Liberty] and gives out a memorable yell, "The King shall hear
: of this! (3)"
: She was 64 in 1975, when she appeared as 'Meg Craddy', and 89 when she
: died Sept. 19.
Sorry to hear it.
I always loved her reaction at the end of her episode when she complments
hawkeye by saying "If I were twenty years younger..." and hawkeye
responds, "I thought you were!"
