She was indeed on MTM, though I believe only once, as Murray's daughter.

Nope, YOU lose because you werent paying attention to the conversation. I
merely replied to the person who said that Thursday's nick showing of MTM
would have Helen Hunt as baldy's daughter. She was not on that episode,
another actress was used and thus that person was dead wrong in their
statement and thus you were dead wrong to flame me since you didnt have a
clue as to the true conversation you were blindly jumping into!

No, that wasn't Helen Hunt on the 5/16 rerun of "The Mary Tyler Moore
Show" on Nick at Night (although it looked like it could have been an
older sister).

According to TV Guide, she appeared as Murray Slaughter's daughter Laurie
in 1970, which would have made her six or seven years old at the time
(she's now 32). The program airing 5/16 was from the 1973-74 season, and
the woman who played Murray's daughter looked to be about 16 or so.
Remember, Helen Hunt's dad Gordon was a casting director, so it's not
really a surprise she got a lot of kid roles.

Actually, you are wrong. Helen Hunt definately played one of Murray's
daughters on MTM. She was not the one that worked in the news room, she
came to visit him in the newsroom on one episode. Another Helen Hunt
sighting. I just watched the movie "Stealing Home" (which was out
sometime around 1988) Helen Hunt plays Mark Harmon's pregnant sister.

No. Phyllis's daughter, Bess, was played by Lisa Gerritsen.

As I stated in one of my previous postings, HH was *defintaly* on at least
one episode of MTM. I think people are thinking that she played the
daughter that worked in the newsroom, she didn't. She played another one
of Murray's daughters. I am absolutely dure of this!!!

HH was on MTM as Murray's daughter. It was not however, the ep that recently aired
on Nickelodeon. I did see a clip that HH and PR showed on an awards show.

Nope. I don't recall the actress' name, but Leachman's daughter was
played by a brunette, talked with a lisp, and had previously been on "My
World and Welcome To It" with William Windom. Helen had the
occasionally-recurring role as Murray's daughter. I don't think she
appeared more than 3 or 4 times, tops.
