The Eyes Have it

Since the very first episode of Lost, the show has opened with a camera
zoomed in on an eye of many of the main characters. Even in the last
episode "Lockdown", when John Locke is trapped under the blast door,
staring into the blue light, we get an close-up of an eye shot. Here is a
strange photo...could it be an eye?

Melroseman, I sense I have hit some nerves. My posts are trying to show
what I see the Lost producers trying to show us all. The little lost
island reflects the global community. If we don't learn to get along soon,
we are all gonna have a conflict "over there" that no nightmare can begin
to imagine. I aint against people, I am against governments that wave a
flag that heralds democracy, while freedoms are stifled. (thinblue gets

I'm only irked because you have something to say, yet to can't seem to
muster enough courage to come right out and tell us. Your observations
are worthwhile, it's your way of communicating them to us that is
impeding their discussion. In the end, it's up to you. No one's gonna
come a knockin if you voice an opinion.

Can anybody tell whether the pupils were shrinking from a degree of
dilation as Jack & Locke "came to" from the "crash"? I'm looking for
evidence of succinylcholine's having been applied to the Losties.

I'll eventually have to check the season 1 DVDs on this point, but does
anybody recall whether Jack or Boone was shown checking for a pulse on
any of the various people Jack ostensibly revived in either the initial
or later episodes? I'm wondering whether the Island Powers put one
over on Jack by stopping these people's breathing chemically. He sure
gave Charlie plenty of precordial thumps (parodied nicely in "Lost
Bohemian Rhapsody") and compressions, but was Jack just ASSUMING
Charlie had no heartbeat because he wasn't breathing?
