We begin in fairytale land where we are introduced to young Cora, the
miller's daughter. She is humiliated at the castle by Eva (Snow
White's mother) and later returns disguised for the ball to win the
prince. At the ball she is discovered as an intruder by the King, and
Cora lies to him, saying she can spin straw into gold. The King locks
her in a dungeon to spin gold: if she does it, she will marry his son,
and if not, she will die. Sure of death, Rumplestiltskin comes to
Cora, and teaches her how to spin gold. They also begin an affair.
Meanwhile in Storybrooke, Emma, Neil, Henry and Mr. Gold return, and
Emma casts a protection spell surrounding Gold's shop to save them
from Cora and Regina who now have the dagger. Rumplestiltskin
convinces Cora to run away from the prince and marry him, but Snow
White/Mary Margaret finds the candle that could've saved her mother
and uses it. She tricks Regina into helping her kill Cora; as such,
Cora's life ends while Rumplestiltskin's life is restored. Regina then
swears revenge on Snow.

Doesn't anyone know that the kid is the only one that can bring everyone
together? Emma's real son, Regina's adopted son, Gold's grandson,
Charming and Snow's grandson, etc. He could stop the madness if he just
got them to get their shit together!

Not after last night, he can't. Regina's sour on Snow for good, now.

It worked better in the fairy tale where that claim was her drunk of
father's boast about how much help she was with the business.

That's funny, as I found it more compelling than the previous one.

I think that the Governor of Maine needs to call in the National Guard
and declare martial law in Storybrooke to put an end to this shit.

I still gave it 4 stars, in spite of:

I did not like the dying Rumple scenes, nor even the dying
Cora scene, tho this was mercifully brief & I was getting
sick of Cora.
Also I didn't like the Rumple/Cora kissing scenes, ick.

The kissing scenes at the spinning wheel? Hot-dam, I thought those were
the most twisted sensual scenes I have ever seen on network TV, and it was
done without a hint of exposed flesh.

At 83 perhaps I am in my second childhood.
The scenes may have been sensual, but they repelled me.
As I said, ick.

The two actors may have enjoyed it!
LOL

Heh, you say younger Cora, but just Rose Mcgowan hasn't aged well in the face. She looked like a 5 years younger version. :D

Too much time in the company of Marilyn Manson?

Or the facial damage from the accident while filming the Tarintino flick?
