Did Jonathan Harris hate June Lockhart?

I have never heard anything regarding any type of animosity between Harris,
and Lockhart. I know JH was not overly fond of Bob May (The guy in the
robot), but that is about the extent of it.
I have also read recently on the LIS list (Losti...@buffnet4.buffnet.net)
that Ms. Lockhart annoyed alot of people at the convention in LA (I think it
was LA) the weekend of the Movie premier be charging up to 300.00 for her
signature. At one point someone took a picture of her, and she demanded to
be paid for that as well.
Mr. Harris may like her, but I know some fans who probably don't.

I know Jonathan Harris personally, and all I will say is that he does not
particularly care for Ms. Lockhart...and many fans feel the same way, after
meeting her.

That would be cool. Maybe JWH, Jr. is Mr. Harris son. If so, your father is
a fine actor. I'm disappointed he did not appear in the movie, but his
explanation is very clear.

presumed factual basis. Please count me as another "dummy" who knew
neither that Jonathon Harris was never married, nor (more importantly)
that he does not have a son. Because you seem to be saying that "never
was married" is the equivalent of "never had children."
OK, guess you've been to all the LIS conventions and have been reading
the Sci Fi magazines for 30 years. But tell you what, Pizza Man, I hope
your crust is better than your choice of words as exhibited herein to
fellow LIS fans worldwide.

This is JWH JR again.
To clarify matters:
1. I am NOT Jonathan Harris (pity)
2. I am NOT Jonathan Harris's son (unfortunately)
3. Jonathan Harris has been married for over 50 years to the same woman, her
name is Gertrude.
4. Jonathan Harris has one son, who's name is Richard.
5. Jonathan Harris and I have been in correspondence for over 20 years.
6. Jonathan Harris and I have meet a number of times; we've even had dinner
together several times.
7. Jonathan Harris has told me personaly several times exactly what he
thinks of June Lockhart---it isn't favorable.
8. I shall not quote my dear Jonathan, but I will teel you what I think of
June and my experiances with her:
She is ALL Hollywood. She is FAKE. She is known as 'Lady Macbeth', 'The
Iron Butterfly', and 'The Ice Queen'. If she touches you you will feel the
frostbite.
She is all smiles and friendly, but as she turns away, look for the
frown of disgust that forms on her face. She will do this before she has
turned completely away from you, so if you are observant, you will see it.
Stars now customarily charge for autographs at sonventions/shows, and I
feel they have that right. Stars have a "set" fee, however June charges
according to what she is signing. Take a photo to say Marta Kristen, you'll
pay $15 for her to sign it. Take it to June, it'll cost you $20, maybe $25.
Take a cast photo that has been signed by everyone but Bill Mumy to Bill,
and he'll charge you $15 to sign it...take the photo to June with everyones
signature but hers and it'll cost you $30-$50. Want a photo with Angela
Cartwright? Free. Take one with June? $40. Take your LIS lunchbox to
Jonathan Harris to sign, $15. Take it to June? $50. I've seen her do these
things on more than one occasion.
June wears gloves to sign autographs. You might think this is to prevent
damage to the photos, to keep ink off her hands, or even to hide her age
spots perhaps. I've heard from more than one source that the reason for the
gloves is that she doesn't want to get GERMS from her FANS> My, doesn't that
give you the warm fuzzies?
Fellow actors, guest stars, and technical people on LIS have basically
all said basically the same rather unflattering things about June.
June Lockhart can be nice, has even been nice to me, and I always treat
her with respect when I deal with her personally. However, all the things I
have heard only confirm what I have observed myself, and therefore my
attitude and conclusions is as follows:
June Lockhart is a CUNT...with a capitol K !!
I wish I had a photo of June with Lassie so I could hang it on my wall with
the caption:
"Which one is the BITCH?"
This is of course, my opinion and my experiances. Your's may differ.

Timmy and Lassies Mother was a cunt?Thanks for shattering another
illusion of mine.And isn't that a little harsh?People ofthen do odd and
peculiar things when they get up in years,and June is certainly no
spring chicken....I did get Billy Mumys autograph on a plane about 10
years ago,he couldn't have been nicer,and didn't charge a thing!

I am tired of all this name calling. I have met and employed both
Jonathan Harris, who I continue stay in touch with, and
June Lockhart. They were both my guests, in seperate years,
at my sci-fi convention in Atlanta, Dixie Trek.
Jonathan is a great man and a one of a kind talent. June
was also a perfect guest the year she attended. The only
outragious demand she made was to have the LA Times
every morning.
Everyone is entitled to thier own opinion, but anyone can also write
what they want and hide with anonimity behind an e-mail address.
Just thought you would like to hear first hand what it was like to
meet and get to know these people.
