Oops! You're right. Somebody transposed the letters on the AOL board.

>Or am I just being stupid?
No, it's not stupid at all. This is a pretty good guess for the *real*
title. I
was trying to go for humor with mine (Bride, Groom, Delayed Forever
was the one I liked the best, considering how long we're waiting for this
marriage). But they have played with common phrases before, and Big
Girls Don't Fly certainly fits. [For late arrivals to this thread, I
originally
posted "BDGF" based on something I saw posted elsewhere, but the
two middle letters had been transposed and Zoomway correctly pointed
out that "BGDF" is supposed to be the acronym of the season finale.]
Also, the title of the second-to-last episode, Through a Glass Darkly
could have an Alice-in-Wonderland type meaning. BGDF would be the
follow-up episode to that one and we know they're connected. The
phrase "Big Girls Don't Cry" deals with the transition from childhood
to adulthood in one sense, which may be related to Alice-in-Wonderland
in some way. So maybe you've hit on it. [You're not the first. The first
place I saw it was someone posting to the boards in the AOL-ABC
section.]
Of course, it could be some variation of this like "Big Girls Do Fly,"
which might mean Supergirl shows up or even Lois gets super
powers again like she did in Ultra Woman. So there are a lot of
reasons the title might make sense. In coming up with the humorous
titles, I tried to make a note of any legitimate possibilities and
there really weren't any -- except for "Big Girls Do/Don't Fly" -- that I
could come up with. I haven't seen any posts with any other legitimate
possibilities either. Of course that doesn't mean there isn't one...
Hey... that's good! I like it.

Three problems: (1) "Girls" doesn't start with a D,
(2) "Don't" doesn't start with a G,
(3) it's not an acronym, becuase it isn't pronounced as a new
word as in "laser" or "scuba"

You're right, that was ABC Amy who warned us that the ep *could* be
be pushed back (she didn't say that it definitely-for-sure-would-be). As
I understand it, the episode finished shooting some time ago now and
it may not be a question of meeting the originally-scheduled April 14
date.
(Of course, there could be a unique special-effects problem with this ep
that takes them longer to polish it.) The sense that I get is that this ep
is
supposed to be a good one, certainly a lot of FoLC are talking about it,
and it therefore wouldn't be surprising if they intentionally held it back
until May sweeps. Of course, this would push those last two episodes
back as well, into the second and third week of May.
An added bonus of this is that it would give ABC/TPTB some time to
regroup and (hopefully) get the message out a little better as to where
the series is going. FoLC may need such reassurances and a bit of a
cooling off period after this arc, especially in light of the (apparent)
drop in the ratings through FMN and OW.
Brad also said that Chris Ruppenthal wrote the ep. "Through A Glass
Darkly."

Officially the May sweeps start 4/25 and end 5/22. So all three of the
remaining Lois and Clark episodes would be considered sweeps episodes.

That explains it. I was wondering why they wouldn't hold the April 28
ep back until May sweeps. Now we know.
We need more posts from you, Zoom. You know stuff. How about, in
increasing order of importance::
1. When are MSW's new eps running in May, especially the finale?
2. Is "3rd Rock..." really taking MAY's timeslot in May?
3. What character is Jon Tenney playing?
4. Is now a good time to buy a house?
5. What IS the meaning of life, anyway?
>1. When are MSW's new eps running in May, especially the finale?
Don't know that one.
>2. Is "3rd Rock..." really taking MAY's timeslot in May?
If it is, I have a question: How are it's ratings these days?
>3. What character is Jon Tenney playing?
The villain. What a cool turn from reality!!
>4. Is now a good time to buy a house?
Do I LOOK like a real estate agent?!?!?
>5. What IS the meaning of life, anyway?
That's for us to find out.

I am weird.
Whopping good. It's yet to miss the top 20. That and "MSW" will more
than likely do us in, especially if CBS and NBC get their acts together
and establish their lineups for May while we're still in repeats.
>>3. What character is Jon Tenney playing?
>The villain. What a cool turn from reality!!
Yes, but which character, he said, hoping it's Terra-Man or Mr. Z or
someone worthwhile.
I get in trouble when I post :P
The official (at this moment anyway) schedule for the remaining three eps
is:
April 28th It's a Small World After All
May 12th Through a Glass Darkly
May 19th Big Girl's Don't Fly
>>1. When are MSW's new eps running in May, especially the finale?<<
As of this writing, CBS has it smack up against L&C's finale. Could change
>>2. Is "3rd Rock..." really taking MAY's timeslot in May?<<
It would be a good choice if NBC is still dumb enough to put half hour
sitcoms up against an hour show. It always leaves them a weak wall. 3rd
Rock is consistantly top 20, but right now it's a 'sandwich' show on NBC's
Tuesday night line-up. Unlike Hope & Glory (also a sandwich show) 3rd Rock
is actually very good, and hits in the same demographics area as L&C. The
disadvantage for NBC is that viewers are creatures of habit, and unless
you're really a rabid fan, you don't go looking for a show that moves. If
it's gone, most viewers assume it got cancelled. Look at Murder She
Wrote's drop off, and Mad About You for that matter.
>>3. What character is Jon Tenney playing?<<<
The villain. Hey, maybe the Eradicator, how should I know<g> Why didn't
you ask who Roger Daltry plays :P
>>4. Is now a good time to buy a house?<<
Ask if it's a good time for L&C to be shopping for a place together ;)
>>>5. What IS the meaning of life, anyway?>>
Hmm, I'll have to go with the old Warner Brother cartoon slogan: Silence
