Although there is no really detailed spoiler information in this post,
there is some general discussion of future episodes including
what is/isn't supposed to be in them. Therefore spoiler space is
included in case you don't want to know anything at all about
upcoming episodes.

ABC Amy said in the AOL chat room last night that the season-
finale acronym BGDF does indeed mean "Big Girls Don't Fly."
Congratulations to the person who guessed this first in the last
AOL file. The tentative schedule for the remaining new episodes
is as follows (weeks not shown are repeats or preemptions):

April 14: It's a Small World After All

This episode was co-written by Teri Hatcher and the spoiler
details have already been well-publicized elsewhere. It looks
like a very fun episode. The date is tentative and could get
pushed back to April 21.

May 5: Through a Glass Darkly (first of three parts: two this
season and one next)

This episode was apparently written by one of the show's two
supervising producers Chris Ruppenthal, who wrote two episodes
from the second season (episode 16 "Lucky Leon" and episode
20 "Individual Responsibility") and three from the third season
(episode 3 "Contact," episode 9 "Super Mann" and episode 15
"I Now Pronounce You"). You'll probably find a few you liked and
a few you didn't like on that list, but generally they were all pretty,
ahem, interesting. This is the writer who brought you Lois & Clark's
first date, an apathetic Superman suffering from exposure to red
kryptonite, alien abductions that weren't, modern-day Nazis, and
a bride who turned out to be a frog-eating clone in the final shot.
At least we won't be bored.

Jon Tenney will have an "important" role in this three-parter,
although he may not be the main villain or threat. A "Krypton
connection" of some sort is widely rumored. Brainiac and
Supergirl are apparently ruled *out*. Some sort of (evil?) blood-
relative of Superman from his "El" family seems to be getting
most of the speculation, but it is just speculation because
everyone has really clammed up and there isn't much spoiler
information out there.

May 12: Big Girls Don't Fly (second of three parts; end-of-
season cliffhanger)

This episode was written by co-executive producers Brad
Buckner, who was also in the AOL chat room last night, and
presumably his writing partner Eugenie Ross-Leming. They
wrote four previous instalments from this season: episode 2
"Ordinary People," episode 5 "Just Say Noah," episode 11
"Home Is Where The Hurt Is," and episode 16 "Double
Jeopardy." Again, your reaction to these may be mixed, but if
there's a common thread in these it's a focus on the Lois &
Clark relationship, with some of these eps having some good
WAFF moments. It has some people speculating that if there's
a wedding this season, it takes place in this ep.

Since we've ruled out Supergirl, it's anybody's guess what the
title means. As far as the cliffhanger goes, we know that it
"isn't really a bad thing" but that it is supposed to surprise
people and change Metropolis. Buckner said in the chat room
that the landscape is always changing. Gee, maybe there's
an earthquake <g>.

Hey, thanks for all the good stuff you post day in and day out. I hope
this season at least ends on a good note.

Oh, my gosh! When you first wrote about the acronym BDGF (then
Zoomway fixed it to BGDF) I wrote to you suggesting different titles. I
had said Big Girls Don't Fly! (I'm not lying!) This is so cool! (then,
someone tried to steal the glory away from me) :(
