Bingo. My problem with the show exactly. I must disagree with it being
entertaining and inventive. The producers seem to have painted themselves
in a corner. They don't want to explore (seemingly) the married life of
Lois and Clark.
I would think that there are as many more storylines after the marriage
as there were before the marriage. I wish the honeymoon were over so
we could get back to some not so off the wall plots. Superman can fly,
I'll buy that, but frog eating clones??? Give me a break.

He let Lex go 'cause he probably was still in shock and confused about
Lois decision to go off with Lex and also was afraid of alienating her by
apprehending him.
