Even tho it's only getting about 8 million viewers on Friday night,
that's still better than Trauma, Heroes, and most of the rest of their
sorry excuse for a prime time schedule.
No word on SVU, but I assume it will return. I seriously doubt any of
Mercy, Heroes, Chuck, or Trauma to be back.
>NBC has ordered some pilots (and boy do they need them), and buried
>within that announcement was a green light for L&O's 21st season. Can
>we say a collective, hooray!
Never had any doubt.
HOORAY!

I'm afraid that I must disagree with you. The Simpsons is one of the
most intelligent shows I've ever watched. I think that I prefer
Futurama, but that's just aesthetics, not a measure of wit.
It's really a brilliant show.
Wait, you're not one of those people who think cartoons are stupid,
are you?

And of course it is the only show on prime time that has been on even
longer than Law and Order.
Not including stop motion, have you ever watched an animated movie or
tv show that you didn't think was stupid, even though you don't like
them?

Lilo: "Stitch is troubled. He needs desserts!"
Just have to see if the Jeff Goldblum/Saffron Burrows detective team
works every week after the Vinnie D/Kathryn E team leave. If it gets
good ratings on USA, CI may be back.
I can see a Simpsons tribute on a Mothership story.
Lupo and Bernard arrest a brat with an overbite for a crime. His
father is a harmless beer-drinking bumbler with radiation poisoning.
His mother has a tall bouffant hairdo and a screeching voice. His
sister is intelligent. The baby just sucks on a pacifier. ADA
Cutter and Rubirosa prosecutes the father's evil boss at the power
plant. The boss's obsequious and infatuated male assistant throws
roadblocks at the prosecution.
I like mine even better, where due to an accounting mistake by Hermes,
Fry somehow manages to get over Leela and takes up with the heads in
glass jars of Claire Kincaid and Jamie Ross. Lela doesn't care but
Bender is devastated, feeling abandoned he takes to drink and becomes
a kleptomaniac. Zapp Brannigan pouts about the unfairness of Fry's
success with two of the most beautiful heads ever, causing Kif to sigh
loudly whilst Amy comforts him. Zoidberg eats lunch. The Professor
announces the good news. "Good news everyone, Fry thinks he has
finally found love."
After watching the business practices of Planet Express Claire and
Jamie tell Jack's head to prosecute everyone. Even though they're not
guilty of anything, Jack's head's moral outrage persuades the jury.
Fry promises to love them still, even "If it takes forever, I will
wait for you, for a 1000 summers I will wait ..."

"Futurama" A Big Piece of Garbage (1999)
Professor Farnsworth: I'm sorry, Fry, but astronomers renamed Uranus
in 2620 to end that stupid joke once and for all.
Fry: Oh. What's it called now?
Professor Farnsworth: Urrectum.
Have to keep the head of Adam Schiff around for straight-talking
advice on every matter.
The idea of Jack's and Adam's heads passing through the centuries
together is very comforting. Morbo hopes that their enemies die soon.
Adam's Head: Young man, sit down.
Jack's Head: We don't have legs or bodies or arms so we can't sit.
Adam's Head: As you were, as you were.
I miss Adam.

I thought you were referring to renewal for the Fall 2010/Spring 2011
season.
I think the Goldblum/Burrows team episodes and the Goren/Eames
farewell story will premiere around March 2010.
The previous USA season for CI had 16 episodes (8 Goren/Eames 8
Nichols/Wheeler) starting in the Spring with reruns on NBC for the
Summer.
I think the season premiere will have the events leading to the
departure of Goren, Eames, and Captain Ross with Jeff Goldblum,
Saffron Burrows and Mary Elizabeth Mastriantonio as the new Major Case
captain taking over every week for the rest of the new Springtime
season.
CI is getting decent ratings on USA and NBC needs time filler for
Saturdays for the most part.
It may hinge if the Goldblum/Burrows/Mastriantonio chemistry works
out if CI is to return in 2011.
More so for folks like me who did have cable when the show were first on
USA and NBC didn't have all of them as promised.
