I've some questions about the episode "Past Imperfect" (sorry, spoliers
ahead for those who haven't seen this one). I was looking for the names
of the model who is murdered at the beginning, her friend the
photographer, her ex-husband, her son, and more importantly, her
illegitimate daughter, the bank teller who killed her in a rage when she
wouldn't submit to a blood test to prove that she was the woman's mother
(the model was impregnated by a billionaire when the latter was a
call-girl; she wouldn't submit to the blood test because people would
find out she was a hooker)--in case you've forgotten, the daughter grew
up in an orphanage and couldn't get adopted because the model passed on
the epilepsy that ran in her family . . .

She didn't even need a blood test. All she needed was the mother to sign an
affadavit naming the billionaire as her father. They had some of his remains
at the hospital and the affadavit would have been grounds for the daughter to
be tested against a sample for a DNA match. The daughter may have been a nasty
person but I sympathized with her situation, especially considering her
circumstances.

Is it a coincidence that he had the same name as a mobster? Jimmy
Burke was the name of the the wiseguy who "mentored" for Henry Hill
(the gangster made famous by Godfellas).

Probably not, but I couldn't help but notice.

Thanks for all of your help--Actually, I thought the defendant in this
case was a lot more sympathetic than anybody else in the story . . .
