Was anyone surprised to see Jamie Ross has now become a judge? ("41
shots", Trial by Jury 2005-03-04) Considering the circumstances under
which she left the District Attorney's office (and I seem to remember
that her backstory includes another leave from the DA before being
re-hired), I thought it was really stretching it to have her come back
this way.

If I remember the circumstances properly, she quit because her husband
was making grief for her because of the number of hours she was
working. The kid seemed to be about 8 or 9 at the time. At probably
15 or 16, she's now old enough that the less time Jamie's around the
better.

I just say Rah Rah for her!! I still want to see Jack try a case in
front of her. Maybe he can make a guest appearance on TBJ, or Visa
Versa. Phyllis

I thought Jamie left because she was involved in a custody battle with
her ex-husband over their daughter, and one of the things he was using
against her was how little time she was able to spend with her daughter.

As I recall, she did go before the disciplinary committee in a later
episode in which she appeared as a defense attorney. But then again, so
did Jack, and he was cleared. I assume that Jamie was, too, because she
returned for another episode after that. (I'm thinking "Justice" was the
episode in which she had to go before the disciplinary committee at the
end. That aired in 1999. Then she came back for "School Daze" in 2001,
again as a defense attorney.)

I would think jack would have to recuse himself, a defence attorney
could never allow that.

I trust the credits from the show more than I trust IMDB.

IMDB is for movies, tvtome is for tv shows, and only sometimes is
one as good as the other in a given area.

If you're looking for tv information, then you should always go first to
tvtome. Likewise, if it's movie related, go to IMDB first.

For instance, Carey Lowell is in there on the Trial by Jury entry on
tvtome.

One problem with imdb is that they won't accept corrections from people
who aren't registered members.

If there's going to be any self-recusals, it wouldn't be McCoy who'd be doing
that.

Along this judge topic, what if we re-sping L&O where Jack
is a judge?
