The end of tonight's episode had "In Memory of Kevin McGill" at the end.
Anybody have any idea who he was?

I had a feeling this would come up, so I looked it up right after the
show. He worked for the catering company that L&O uses.

Mourners recall victim of Southampton crash

Kevin C. McGill was the first to lend a hand and always left people with
a smile.

MEDFORD - Kevin C. McGill was the first to lend a hand and always left
people with a smile.

That's how family and friends described the 23-year-old chef from
Tabernacle who was killed Christmas Eve when the car he was driving
crashed on Burr's Mill Road in Southampton.

"He was a fun-loving person," said Father David Scheider, an uncle of
McGill's who presided over a memorial Mass at Bradley & Stow Funeral
Home yesterday. "He was powerful but in a quiet presence."

Dozens of family, friends and co-workers attended the Mass.

As a chef for Shooting Stars Catering of Tabernacle, McGill provided
meals for the cast and crew of the NBC television shows "Law & Order:
Special Victims Unit" and "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" in New York City.

"He was a great kid that was a lot of fun to be around and always made
you laugh," said John Featherstone, who also worked for the NBC shows
and played softball in Central Park with McGill. "We gave him the
nickname 'Clem' because he was so laid back and had that drawl from
Indiana when he spoke."

McGill was raised in Indiana but had lived on Bridlewood Court in
Tabernacle for the past six years.

The accident remains under investigation. According to police, McGill
was northbound on Burr's Mill Road when his car left the road,
overturned and struck a tree near Avenue Road at about 10:45 p.m. McGill
was ejected from the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

"It's sad," said another fellow worker Ben Maglaoche of Union. "He was
too young to die. He was always the first person willing to lend a hand
if you needed it. It's really sad."
