Do you think it's ironic that Mariska Hargitay, the daughter of sex
goddess Jayne Mansfield, would play a character like Olivia Benson?
After all, Benson is light-years away from the sort of sexpot
characters Hargitay's mother became so famous for playing.

First of all we're talking two different eras and the kind of sexpots
Jayne played were more the stereotypes.

No. I don't think that's ironic.

Especially when she is pretty sexy, just not in a cleavage kind of
way.

Which would be ironic if and only if you were marrying a weather man.

To me Mariska looks like an ugly drag queen or a poor Michael Jackson
impersonator!

So you're not only an idiot; you're blind to boot.

Not especially. She does not look like her mother because she is half
Hungarian and, though she is my type, she does not look anything like
the kind of actresses who play "sexpots".

In the colonies we have the expression "the thinking man's crumpet".
Perhaps a little vulgar, but it sums it up.

I think the irony here is that after complaining about being picked on
you post this.

I've often wondered about people who complain about someone's looks.
If she doesn't interest you, why take any notice at all? Now we know
what you notice about a woman.

I'm reminded of a comment I once saw on the web about Jessica Biel's
feet being too large. Which lead people to ask that poster for a
description of the goddesses he was sleeping with.

I'm curious, do you think that in posting what you did, you behaved
with Christian charity?

Mine was just a personal observation regarding her appearance. Nothing
relevant to the concept of xian charity.

An observation made in a public forum where anyone, including the
person you were so uncharitably describing could read it.

Perhaps you could explain the concept then, because I think that I
fail to understand what this part means:

"as you would that men should do to you, do you also to them in like
manner"

Maybe he enjoys brutal critiques of his ugliness.

Of the characters on the show I think that the ME Dr Warner has the most
pleasant personality.

I think that Dr Huang has the most pleasant sounding voice.

I think that Stabler's tattoos are ugly!

I love how Tutuola puts Munch in his place! Imo Munch is a pompous ass!

I think that's possible, but extremely unlikely. I am left wondering
what his motivations are.
