I was watching KR 2000 yesterday and I noticed two bloopers:

When Michael is in KITT and he lets him know he showered, take a look in the
Chevy! When the camera pans down, a crew member is seen holding wires in the
background!

Blooper 2:

When Shawn walks into Police headquarters and sits at a computer, the camera
slides to the right. Look in the window, you can see the crew pushing the
camera!

Well, it's hard to get "action" here when the one thing we've had to
harp about has been cancelled and is knee-deep in re-runs.

That's because the LED's (light emitting diodes) that they used is
made up of "blocks". There are 10 LED's per block. Whoever built that
display did a poor job in lining the blocks up.
Oh by the way, did you notice the front scanner did not have the
trailing effect? It seems they didn't care about the fine details.

Take care, Mark

Damn right a lot was supposed to have happened between the last episode
and KR2K!!! I'd really like to know 3 things:
1) What passed between Mike and KITT that would cause Mike to "lose it"
and want to piss the rest of his life away fishing out in the middle of
freakin' nowhere ?
2) Who in their right mind would send KITT to the local scrap yard in
exchange for that old, blue and white, 1950's piece if shit ?? Sure,
they may have scrapped the idea of KITT as a crime-fighting aid, but
hell, man, he could hang out at my place and watch ME FISH ALL DAMN DAY
LONG!!!
and finally,
3) What passed between Mike and Devon ? Before, Devon was almost like
Mike's second Dad....then he is kidnapped, tortured, and MURDERED, and
Mike's reaction is like: "Oh, gee, what a bummer. Oh well." As if it's
no bigee ? What, did he have a lobotomy or something after the last
episode or what ???

Those are just my three main gripes about KR2K, but then again, I do
tend to be very picky and highly critical.

Cos thats what he wanted to do :)

<laugh> Yeah, I'd agree. But remember, KITT wasn't *his* was it, so he
couldn't really just nick it and park it on the grass and let him watch
micheal fish :-)
There was that ep when Micheal stole KITT from the foundation, when he was
supposedly working for some dodgy organisation ..

No, he did care - he just tried not to show it, or something.

Well, aside from being ten years older, you can see the early sighns in season
4 of Knight Rider; In Scent of the Roses, Michael nearly does retire, and its
only the need for vengeance of Stevie's murderers that drives him back to the
job.

Me. A lot of other people too. the 1957 Chevy Bel Air is the achetypical
Classic Car. It is not a "piece if shit", as you put it.
Besides, KITT wasn't his. Technically, the car was his (cf Knight of the
Phoenix) but KITT was very much hios own person. And Michael didn't send him
to the scrap yard. He presumed (as he had several times before) that THe
Foundation would hire another operative to replace him. It may have been a
tough transition, but KITT would have adapted to serve another partner; it
happens all the time between human partners.
And do you really think KITT would have enjoyed the life Michael took up?
Again, Scent of the roses tells it all. KITT was made for the job he had, and
while Michael might tire of it, lose the will to fight, KITT can't. The fight
is a part of KITT that can never die, and THAT's why Michael KNEW it would be
wrong to try and retire KITT. He knew it in Junk Yard Dog, he knew it in
Scent of the Roses, and he knew it when he retired.

Um... did we watch the same movie? When Devon died, Michael RAN AWAY. In all
his life, the death of another person had never had that effect on him.
Wilton, Stevie, even KITT, their deaths filled Michael with the drive to
fight. But when Devon died, it was a pain that Michael could not face-- a
GREATER pain, one that pushed himn away. He says nimself, "I loved that old
man more than anyone" and if Shaun hadn't intervened, he would have gone back
to the lake and spent the rest of his life feeling sorry for himself.

Actually, your gripes don't seem all that picky. It's just that some of these
seem way off base. When I saw Kr2k for the first time, my memories of Knight
Rider were dim, and heavily corrupted (SOmehow, I had mangled "KITT vs KARR",
"Knight of the Juggernaut", "Soul Survivor", "Lost Knight", and "Junkyard Dog"
all into one episode, a story I'll put to paper one day if I get the time) So
I didn't notice a lot of the little inconsistancies. Now, having rewatched
the original series, I do see a lot of very minor problems, but no greater
than between any two episodes of the original series (and see: KITT's ability
to move inanimate objects with his microjammer) But the only thing that
really bothers me, then and now is the lack of Turbo Boost (which is not so
much an inconsistency as a poor decision. Turbo Boost wasn't used in every
episode of the original series, I think (especially season 3, where for a
while I feared that they had removed it in favor of Ski Mode))
I always just assumed that something unspeakable terrible had happend to
Michael that make him leae the Foundation, I do know now that the 57 chevy is
probably due to the fact that a blue and white 56 chevy was michael's first
car, and one which he still harbored fond memories of during the time of the
original series (the 55-57 chevy bisquane, Bel Air, and (some other make) were
all more or less identical -- the 55 is my personal favorite, the 56 added
bullet-shaped tail lights, and the 57 tail fins. Due to the cult-like
following ot the 57 model, it was probably easier to acquire one than the
other years)
I would have liked to see KR2000 become a series, and I was annoyed that it
didn't. But thenm, I'm a lot more flexible about hwat I like than most
people.

Well, I have a complete loathing for cars of the 1950's and I'm also not
too partial to the color blue. Cars--like the Bel Air--just give me
twitching flashbacks of the musical "Grease"----there's another, long,
painful, memory associated with that movie, but we won't go there.
Second of all, the 4th season of TOS is not my favorite--especially
towards the end. Towards the end, Mike just seemed to turn into a
quitter; he let every little thing get to him.
As for his reaction to Devon's death in KR2K, I felt it was totally out
of character. If the goal was to present the image you suggest, It
wasn't executed very convincingly, at least not for me--I got totally
the opposite idea--Mike had become this whining, sniveling, panty-waist,
wimp, living out alone with his blue car and his fishing hole feeling
sorry for himself. I feel the whole movie had debased his character
down to a sad, sorry, "can't deal with life", "I don't want to face it
so I'm gonna run away from it", gutless, ball-less loser who had to have
several other people's lives on the line before he could get his head
surgically removed from his ass and DO something about it!!
This is how I perceived it. I envy you your ability to have seen it
otherwise.

What the Hell is wrong with Grease?

Well, for me, there are a lot of things wrong with Grease. It's a
reminder to me of some very unpleasant, nasty memories. It's not the
movie's "fault"---just bad timing. That, and well, I really don't care
much for Olivia's acting talent...if you can call it that.

Yeah, I can't see Kitt talking that way, either. Ever. As a matter of
fact, none of the characters did much. That's one thing I love about
the original KR; it has no sex and little swearing.
Oh, and by the way, I went to your site. Cool! I liked the ST:TOS
section. I noticed, though, that you don't have any KR links. If
you're looking for any, here's one, a real fanfic site, the first KR
fanfic site on the web (I know there are several story sites now). It's
called "Knight Writers Online". My fav site ever!
