At the end of the series - what happened to KITT/KARR, Bonnie, Devon
and of course Michael?

It depends what you want to follow - it gets a bit messy for a while with
the TV-movies, but in the more recent short-lived resurrected series
Michael Knight apparently had a brief appearance, so obviously he was
still alive then.

As far as I remember (and it's been a while), nothing "happened", just the
end of another case, work as usual day ... but the episodes were
apparently played in the wrong order (at least in the US). The real final
episode was played a couple of months earlier with Michael Knight marrying
his old girlfriend Stevie.

Was KARR totally destroyed? No way to put him back together......
(having flashbacks to Six Million Dollar Man - since Richard Anderson
was in KR....)

"Oscar Goldman: Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology.
We have the capability to build the world's first bionic man. Steve
Austin will be that man. Better than he was before. Better, stronger,
faster. ".....

Not totally destroyed. KARR (and KITT) have just come back as a Hot Wheels
toy ... err, "adult collector's vehicle". ;-)

Of course, KITT did come back in the TV-movie, but as a disgustingly ugly
red car and in the newer TV series he was replaced by a silly Ford! :-(

Only the ones played in the following TV-movie and follow-on series ...
that you don't want to know. :-)

There has been a lot of "Knight Rider" ...

- the original TV series (1980s)
- a few follow-up TV-movies
- the ridiculously awful and best-forgotten "Team Knight Rider" series
- the new "Knight Rider" series (2000s)

A simple search for "Knight Rider" would have given you the links, and
probably a lot quicker than my dial-up connection.

- Original TV series
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083437

- Follow-up TV-movies
Knight Rider 2000 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0102227
Knight Rider 2010 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0110273

- Team Knight Rider
I can't even be bothered looking up the garbage or copying it's link

- New TV series
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1213404

Or there's the Wikipedia version: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knight_Rider

On top of those there are some original stories in books (for example, I
have a UK "Knight Rider Annual" that has a few stories in it that are not
from the TV series).

Last I read, Glen Larson and David Hasselhoff were both also still trying
to get a new movie version up and running.
