Hi folks. I just read in TV Guide that Viper is being brought
back this fall in syndication. Does anyone else know anything more about
it? Is this going to be in the same continuity as the original show?
Thanks. :)

I thought the Car.. Vyper was neat... Anyone notice the Red police light /
scanner that sat on the dash... didn't go in circles.. but from left to
right... (gee... sounds familiar)... Anyway... I think the show was too
politically correct... no guns nor too much violence... I'm 25 years old..
and mentally stable... I'de like to see the show... pardon my french..
.KICK ASS... I think that's why it did poorly... Anyone remember Street
Hawk?... yeah.. cool motorcycle... but they only showed it for 5 minutes
of the show... I wasn't watching it to see Rex Smith... when's hollywood
gonna figure this out...

Now VIPER will not be the same as it was during it's NBC run.
(www.paramount.com) Instead other people are now using it in MEXICO CITY.
The only person who stays the same is Frankie. "Poke out my eyes!"

I believe the show Viper is coming back in syndication as VIPER:FULLY
LOADED. I saw a making of it on tv. It is supposed to air the Week of
Sept23.

The 'Making of Viper' has been on several channels. The car will look
different. The 'street' version is for sale to anyone, but the 'super'
version is not. You may still be able to find this on some cable
channel. I really didn't pay that much attention to the commercial.
The program will start on Sat. 9/28 and is syndicated.
In San Francisco, 6pm PT chUPN44

I wrote the first guide, so will be continuing it (better this time since
the first one was not done by watching).
Look for updates at http://www.geocities/Hollywood/9821
BTW, the KR guide is there, too.

From the TV Guide:
An underground force of crime fighters protect Metro City with the help
of a high-tech sports car in this retooled version of the 1994 NBC series.
In the opener, Det.Cameron Westlake (Heather Medway) is reassigned to the
Viper Project after the death of her partner.

I remember reading in TV guide... quite a few years ago... that Knight
Rider was being "retooled"... with a lady driver... but the show would be
"darker".. the director of Batman was going to do the show?? Anyone
remember this? Whatever happened?

Well if the light is INSIDE the car, I doubt you would want the red light
to go in circles. If you look at some police cars, they go from side to side
too.

The NEW Viper DOES have guns, in fact it even has missles. Don't care
very much for the new cast though. But time will tell.
