Another hard to believe issue was KITT's apparent telekenisis (sp?)
ability. He could unlock doors that had only mechanical parts (i.e. no
computers or electronics).
Other than these two little ideosynchracies (sp?)... I love that show!!

The stupidest part of the show for me is that KITT could "microlock" the brakes
of a motorcycle in many episodes, and make the motorcycle stop. But in many
episodes, they would be chasing a bad guy on a motorcycl and he would get
away. It seems like they only used this option if it was convenient to the
storyline. What a stupid show...

I agree! When he unlocked card-access doors, I could buy that, but
regular key-locked doors? HANDCUFFS, for crying out loud! I didn't have
as much trouble with the passive restraint system, though. Couldda been a
big blast of air holding him back for all I know! At least the show was
promoting some sort of driving safety (did they introduce the passive
restraint system the same year California made seatbelts a legal
requirement?)

As if every show on television doesn't do that. Name a show, and I'll bet there would be
at least one idiosyncracy which makes it unrealistic in some way. That certainly doesn't
qualify it as stupid now, does it? Besides, I'm sure KITT enjoyed a good challenge now
and then...
