The latest issue of Entertainment Weekly has a new feature called What
Would Have Happened, advertising: "TV Cliff-Hanger Mysteries Solved!"

The first profile is Wonderfalls, a well-written show that was
nevertheless cancelled by Fox after only a few episodes...

...so it occurs to me that Kindred: The Embraced, a series with
similar circumstances, would definitely benefit from the What Would
Have Happened treatment. :) From the looks of things, EW is actually
talking to the producers of the show(s) in question, so any answers
about Kindred would come straight from the source.

They're also asking you, the reader, to "e-mail your unresolved
cliff-hanger questions" to them, so now is the time to request that
Kindred be included in a future profile. The email address for these
questions is: ww...@ew.com

Please post here once you've emailed them with your request. (I
already have.) As long as the thread is here, feel free to offer up
your own thoughts on What Would Have Happened...

"Edgar Governo" suggested some things...

Whereas I've started wondering why they couldn't do another series
concentrating on another city, with a new cast (and offering opportunities
for guest appearances from some of the characters we came to know and . . .
love).

Actually, that would open up a lot of avenues. There could be a whole
network of series, perhaps with interacting storylines.

The old European Kindred viewing the upstart US-based groups with suspicion
& fear / plots to influence & steer them. And the US reaction to perceived
or suspected influence . . .
The cultural aspects of nation and tradition showing the schisms within a
clan . . .
And I almost hesitate to suggest - Assamite involvement in anti-western
politics.
Was the fall of the comunist system down to a struggle between awakening
Methuselah Kindred?
What's the truth behind rumours of a small group of diablerist Kindred
roaming the world seeking ever-more-ancient victims?

There's a multitude of possibilities . . .

If only someone could get the backing - and come up with the ideas!

I dunno why they didn't miss the most obvious. Julian gets wacked by
another psycho illegally embraced vamp, or a hitman from another clan, or
a clan from another city looking to move in (Bruja of course).
Sheez, like it's not been done a zillion times in other series when
somebody quits.
Of course, maybe they thought it wouldn't be cool to do that after the guy
was actually killed, not just quit.
Coulda done the other city idea though. Just not f-ing LA! I HATE it
when shows move to LA. It just says "we're cheap and all this location
biz is just too much burden on our millions".
