whether the language being spoken in the "Feelyat" sketch is an actual language
or whether it was made up.

I'm not canadian or cultured, but it sounded liek a mix of mostly german, a
little bit of english and a wee bit of spanish. But hey i'm from Illinois, so
I'm most likely wrong.

I love this skit. I understood some of the words as English, and I thought
the rest were German.
But what do I know?? I'm just a silly American........

Canadian -- yes.
Bilingual -- should be, but no. Hell, I *should* be trilingual, but

I always thought that the "Feelyat" language was some Germanic-like
babble with English mixed in.

cuz Dave was all serious and then he gets all happy and he was like "blah blah

part... hehe, one time on the weather channel, i saw that same clip of the
person up the tree.. and i'll never forget that, for some odd reason. <g>

The best part was that news bulletin was about a flood, there were clips of
people in trees and then they showed a clip of sharks. LOL. That was great. I
wonder where that tape is...

Well, I'm not Canadian, but I thought it was pretty obvious that
"Feelyat!" was pure gibberish, with the odd English word thrown in to give the
audience at least a modicum of comprehension. But some people apparently still
think that the Monty Python "Funniest Joke" is real German, so what do I know?
Loved the scene with the sharks in the Rhine (accompanied by sonar sounds,
no less).

Does anyone know who wrote the Feelyat sketch? I always assumed it was Mark.
And, does anyone remember a poster from a LONG time ago by the name of Judy
("Judy Geezum", to me), who once sat down and transcribed the ENTIRE Feelyat
sketch? Every blessed word of gibberish?
I wish I had a copy of it somewhere. Does anyone?
