Alright, I was bored today, just surfing the net, and I came across this
Degrassi page (don't ask how) And I saw the following:

"The twins (Maureen and Angela Deiseich) were often seen on The Kids in the
Hall, Dayo Ade (BLT) was also seen in the Kids in The Hall"

What the hell? The twins were on the show? And BLT? I know I've probably
seen the sketches a million times and am just tired and my brain isn't
working... or something along those lines, but can someone refresh my memory
and tell me what sketches they were in?

Hey, what, is that something to be ashamed of?

Really, I don't see it. <g>

I got excited when I saw Snake running around during Scratching Post's
set at Celebrate Toronto last year. ;)

(Yes, I know he has a NAME, but I prefer... *Snake*. <g>)

The twins were on Bruce and Scott's shoulders in the Gazebo sketch, and
Dayo was in Chalet 2000. :)

LOL. And Snake is also in a t.v. commercial as well... I saw it yesterday
but I can't remember what it for, exactly. It had to do with cars. Auto
service, I think...

*WoW*, he sure uh...grew up.

Hey Kitana - I finally saw Gavin Crawford (it runs Sunday night late as
well). I enjoyed it. Too early to say anything conclusive, but I'm going
to watch again. He has a real ear for dialect/accents, and his
characters are strong. The show also has a nice theme: he is Gavin the
struggling stand-up guy who is pretending to have a T.V. show in his own
mind.

OH MY GOD! You mean Rebel was Dayo(or was it Sinbad?)??? Oh my God. He's
grown. No wonder I didn't recognize him.

Yeah, I heard about that on the Degrassi reunion on Jonovision, but I
still haven't seen it. Why is it that I see some commercials 50,000
times, but never one that I'm actually looking OUT for?

LOL, we remembered to tune in the same night! I watched it this past
Monday night, as well. Like you said, too early to say anything
conclusive... but, I tend to prefer his live stuff. Something about it
just doesn't translate fully on tv -- I like it better when he's
onstage with a mic.

But, yeah, to agree with you once again <g> -- he's quite good with
dialects/etc. I'll watch again, next week.

Although, that somewhat Buddy-like character who outs people bothers me
a little, even if the similarity wasn't intended. <g> I KNOW I'm not
the only one who sees the similarity, because when I saw that Comedy
Network anniversary show at the Masonic Temple, some audience members
shouted "Buddy Coooooooooole!" when asked for names during that bit,
and afterwards, Dave said something like, "Let's hear it for Gavin
Crawford, Canada's most prominent fag since Scott Thompson!"

Apparently he's in a sketch series called "Hype" on the WB, now, too?

Speaking of TCN shows... last night's 8pm SCTV slot was replaced with
that "Great Scott" show, so I finally caught it -- I really don't see
where the humour is supposed to be in that show. <g> I mean, it's like
a tamer, watered-down version of "Buzz", which is a tamer, watered-down
version of Tom Green....

I think that says it all. <g>

Well, at least they're rerunning Larry Sanders Monday-Friday now. I'll
FINALLY get the one episode I'm missing on tape (#35)... if I haven't
missed it, already. <g>

The bad part of this being that there are no midnight reruns of the 7pm
block of KITH, now. :P

Wow, having talked so much about The Comedy Network, I felt the need to
go over to their site and check the message board, to see if anyone was
saying anything interesting...

My GOD, there's one message from some guy who completely does NOT get
KITH. Not at all. He thinks the drag is a gimmick, and he's tired of
it. He finds it "repulsive" and it gets his "blood boiling".

"Guys wearing dresses are funny in moderation, but EVERY SINGLE DAMNED
SKETCH?????"

Guys wearing dresses... are funny... in moderation.

Sad, sad, sad. Oh, people who don't get it are sad....

But it just goes to show you that the Kids were so ahead of their time
that they can still piss off the idiots, ten years later. <g>

:after scanning through a few more messages::

God, I hate that board. Now I remember why I stopped reading it.

Hmmmmmmm. I don't remember him, I tuned in late. Unless we saw different
episodes. I had ronnie the rocker waiting for a phone call from Mick
Jagger, and the show ended with Gavin's lipstick wearing mechanic.

Yeah...so sad.

I've learned that men in dresses make people angry, just as iss-yoos
make people angry.

There's something very interesting about a person getting all bothered over it,
not to mention ANGRY. Where does the hostility come from? I think I remember
Ade telling me a great "huffing out of the room over it" story <G>

You're the one who shoulda been there! :) I'm not really a fan, even
-- I know some of their songs, but not enough to be a fan.

I was there because The Local Rabbits were on right after. <g>

Yes, that's the one I saw... I can't remember if that Ryan Beverage
character was in it... I just thought of him, for some reason. Maybe
he was on one of the bumpers, I dunno.
