LOS ANGELES, June 28 (UPI) -- "I Love Lucy" supporting actress Doris
Singleton has died in Los Angeles, Variety reported. She was 92.

The entertainment industry trade newspaper did not give a cause of
death for Singleton, who is best known for playing Lucy and Ricky
Ricardo's neighbor Carolyn Appleby on the classic 1950s sitcom.

She also appeared on TV's "All in the Family," "Adventures of
Superman," "Hogan's Heroes," "My Three Sons," "Hazel," "The Munsters,"
"The Dick
Van Dyke Show," "Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C.," "The Fugitive," "The F.B.I.,"
"Marcus Welby, M.D.," "Phyllis," "Days of Our Lives" and "Dynasty," The
Hollywood Reporter said.

She died the same day as writer-director Nora Ephron, Lucie Arnaz --
the daughter of late "I Love Lucy" stars Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz --
noted on her Facebook page. "A day of saying hasta luego to two great
ladies, Nora Ephron and Doris Singleton," Arnaz wrote. "May they both
fly swiftly heavenward and enjoy a blissful rest for jobs well done down
here. They were loved and appreciated and will be missed."

People.com said Singleton's husband of 61 years -- comedy writer,
director and producer Charles Isaacs -- died in 2002.
