Notice that somehow, someway we got treated to a couple of X-rated adverts.
Geez, since when is this a late night chat room? Is there any PTB we can
complain to? And can someone please delete these posts? Lord knows I am
not a prude, but don't want the newsgroup to turn into an free advertising
site for porno kings.

Don't blame you a bit; all of my UseNet groups got porno-spammed over
the weekend.

I'm not sure who you'd complain to. If you have any filtering options
on your news reader you can just block mesages from the spaming addy's
but it won't stop all spam. You may also be able to filter mesages
containing certain words. On my AOL reader I might filter things with
subject lines like "make money fast" and "barely 18." Just a sugestion.

Hear Hear My sentiments entirely. You wonder about these advertisers. Don't
they realize that most people get so pissed off at that kind of crap that what
little chance they had of enticing anybody for their product is totally flushed
down the drain with this in your face advertising. Hopefully something can be
done to remove this.
