I take it "Robert" isn't the correct answer?

Dunno. I thought Robert was Hogan's first name. Why do you think not?

Coincidentally, the actor by the name of Robert Hogan also twice
played the role of Braden in HH.

Not too coincidental. Robert Hogan was a friend of co-creator Bernie
Fein's and the part was named after him. Fein suggested he also play the
part but CBS wanted a bigger name. Not suprisingly, Hogan showed up as a
guest star in episodes. (I believe he only played Braden once. In another
episode he appeared as a Commando Tobin).

Because of the statement, "on the set". I thought maybe Hogan had a
nickname On the Set.

I was wondering about that too. If it's the character's name, it's the
character's name everywhere. I think it was meant to differentiate from
the actor's name which is also Robert (Bob).
