The Harsh Realm tv show was loosely based upon a series of 6 comic books. In
them, a boy disappeared into a fantasy universe of warriors, wizards, and
dragons. The boy's parents hired a detective to find him. The tv version simply
did away with the fantasy theme in favor of a virtual reality world.
