It is simply breathtaking to watch the glee and abandon with which
the liberal media and the Angry Left have been attempting to turn
our military victory in Iraq into a second Vietnam quagmire. Too bad
for them, it's failing.
Not very energy efficient... how much gas or electricity did she use
to power the stove to boil the water for 15 or more minutes just so
she didn't have to use the peeler?
Sheesh!
Tom
But Right-wingers like Ubiquitous like the idea of wasting energy and
trashing the planet.

The skin's the ebst part, so it's not as issue for me.
Besides, one doesn't use that kind of potato because it falls apart.
No doubt about that!

So, you are recycling all of those empty Ragu jars?
My municipality has curbside single-stream. We recycle everything we
can.
I usually make the sauce from paste, and I also recycle the Contadina
cans.
The Ragu is too sweet for my tastes, but it is nice and adicy as well.

Paul Newman's marinara is absolutely the best. Dice an onion and sweat
it, and then add the marinara. You can crumble a pound of sausage into
it, too, but you'll want to do that first if you use the same pan for
everything.

Strawman noted. Get back to us when you have a real argument to make.

It's now time for healing, and for fixing the damage the Democrats did
to America.
Don't worry about it. Once the Cap-and-Trade program takes effect we
can all march triumphantly back to the good old, "energy efficient"
days of the 19th century. You know, when it took an entire day to
prepare that evening's meal.
You mean cooking is going to improve?

That'll be completely up to your own skills, probably. Unless you have
a barrel full of money to take with you to the restaurant.
Where do you get such stupid ideas?

PBS. You know, that reality show they had a couple of years back where
a family agreed to live in the conditions of an early 20th century
family.
Oh. I see. So you construed a documentary to read into something it
didn't intend to say?

No, I added the information from the documentary to other information
obtained from my life experience. I thought everybody did that, but if
extrapolation is a talent you lack you're really missing something.
Well, clearly, if you think that Cap-and-Trade is going to lead to
taking hours to prepare an evening meal, your talents are lacking.

And all you've added to the discussion is personal invective. Who do
you think *you're* impressing?
I thought my personal invectives were aptly suited to the situation.
You know, inserting stupid political bullshit into places where it
didn't belong? You sound ridiculous.

If I sound ridiculous then why are you wasting your time responding to
me? Is it because Eco Correctness (worrying about the energy
consumption it takes to boil a pot of water, of all things) is always
on topic, but resistance to the collective mind never is?

Ad hominem noted. Get back to us when you have a real argument to make.
People who buy into this "global warming" nonsense rarely use facts
or think things through logically.

How much did The Idaho Potato Council pay you to post your viral video
here?
That one was played to death on rfc a long time ago (or maybe my
filter is still in effect). Kill it and move on.
