Has GH ever done a story about PC government budget?
Most cities have budgets. Most city finances are made up of taxes. A good
portion is borrowed.
They float bonds. Investors buy bonds.
Since everyone is so fabulously wealthy in PC, perhaps they have sufficient
tax revenue without resorting to bond issuance.
I know the hospital faltered a few years back. Finn saved the day by
donating earnings from his cure discoveries.
Has PC ever run short of money? If nothing else, it has to pay an awful ot
for its police and court system, which are not only expensive, but often
very corrupt.

It would be hard to make a story for a daytime drama from such dry
subject matter, IMO. They barely bother to adhere to the laws of physics
in the stories they *do* make, and probably couldn't be expected to get
the realities of the financial management of a city government right.

to the Muldoon lawsuit by wanting to throw Finn to the wolves to save
itself when Finn had single-handedly saved the hospital years before.
many unqualified and/or downright corrupt characters who served as mayor
at one time or another, PC would be bankrupt by now. Especially so with
the current mayor, who at any given time is seen tending to personal
issues--whether in PC or on other continents--and is never in her office
tending to the city's business.

I don't recall that that was ever an issue, tho you'd think with the
