It would be hard to make a story for a daytime drama from such dry
subject matter, IMO. They barely bother to adhere to the laws of physics
in the stories they *do* make, and probably couldn't be expected to get
the realities of the financial management of a city government right.

That was a long time ago. I'd forgotten about it, and maybe the writers
had, too. It's sorta bizarre for the hospital to have reacted initially
to the Muldoon lawsuit by wanting to throw Finn to the wolves to save
itself when Finn had single-handedly saved the hospital years before.

I don't recall that that was ever an issue, tho you'd think with the
many unqualified and/or downright corrupt characters who served as mayor
at one time or another, PC would be bankrupt by now. Especially so with
the current mayor, who at any given time is seen tending to personal
issues--whether in PC or on other continents--and is never in her office
tending to the city's business.
