Unfortunately, Steve Burton has been taking instruction from Maurice's
diction coach. Jason's phrasing was just how Sonny would have read
the lines. But--I believe the emotion behind Jason's words. I feel
like Jason loves the kid but has had ENOUGH of his behavior.
I was afraid Carly was going to jump in and try to defend Michael, but
for once, she stood back and let him experience some consequences for
his actions. The scene pointed out that apparently Jason is the only
one who cares enough to actually try to be a parent to the kid.
I had to rewind and watch the scene several times. We've been
watching Michael act up ever since he came out of the coma and
everyone has made excuses for whatever he did. It was good to see
someone tell him how it is and how it needs to be.
Michael's needed a good "talking to" ; it was way overdue.
Michael's behavior and inability to keep his mouth shut could also bring
down Sonny's empire, so Jason was justified to be very, very angry.
Unfortunately, Michael is a sociopath, and probably has been since he was 6
years old.

Loved the way Michael put his hands on Carly's shoulders and explained
that she "would never understand how his dad's business works but that
was okay. He got it. He understood. But his dad was proud of him and
knew that he (Michael) understand how the business works. Mom was just
never going to get it." Paraphrasing, of course. He was so damned
condescending and arrogant in that moment. Jason't words hadn't sunk
in at all. Maybe Michael will do something stupid and get sent to
prison himself. Then we can listen to everybody tell Sonny what a good
father he is. Blech.

Exactly, Michael is in control enough to know he'd overstepped, so he said
some pithy phrases, patted his mom on the head and said not to worry, go
take a nap! At least, we didn't see him throw a tantrum, toss Carly's
pretty yellow pillows from the sofa and fling glassware all over the house,
which is easy to write, but far less interesting.

Great performance by him yesterday. He looked like he wanted to kick
the shit out of Michael. I wish he would because Michael needs to be
knocked down a peg or two. I'm glad Coleman didn't get all "scared"
by Michael's passive threats and give him a beer.
Coleman is one character who never wavers from his principles - whatever
they may be. I love him. And I did a doubletake when Jason told
Michael he was acting like a "bitch". Whoa!!! I guess we've finally
seen Jason's tipping point. Loved it!

Jason was awesome, I loved it all. I also went "Wow" when he yelled that
Michael was acting like the BITCH! That was great!!!

Coleman has few scruples. When we met him he was the strip club owner with
a soft spot in his heart for Daisy/Courtney. Later on he was involved with
a plot with Luke where he (Coleman) wound up in Tracy's bed. He accepted
money from A.J. to pretend to be stalking Courtney. He's been the "go-to"
guy for a lot of people who wanted something just a LITTLE shady done, but
he's always drawn the line at doing anything that would harm a child in any
way.
And, while he is definitely more "lover than fighter," he's never going to
back down from a snot nosed punk like Michael, regardless of who his father
is.

While I loved Jason taking Michael to task for his horrific behavior, that
struck me as silly. I'm old enough to know that "bitch" is a gender
specific word meaning female. I realize that the word has been bastardized
into a generic "beee-atch" used for both sexes, but I don't see Jason as a
man to succumb to teeny-bopper/rapper slang even when talking to a kid.
Maybe the main reason it rang false is that Michael's behavior hasn't really
been "bitchy." He's acted snotty, self-entitled, and ego-centric,. He's
back-talked to every adult in his life and tried to throw his weight around
as if he were Sonny, not just Sonny's heir apparent, but "bitchy?"...not so
much.
I agree. I said he had principles, not scruples. :-)

I keep waiting for the scene when Sonny "gives in" and Michael he can join
the business. Considering the size of Sonny's ego, I can't believe he's not
secretly pleased that Michael admires and wants to be just like him.

I took it to mean that if Michael didn't watch it, he was going to
become a bitch as in prison bitch. Whole different conotation. I took
it as part of Jason's "warning".
PJ
He didn't look as guilty as he should when Carly called him on his
pride in Michael, did he? I think you're right and Sonny would like
nothing better than to teach Michael his real business. But he's
spouted the party line with Carly and Jason for so long, he's having
trouble admitting it.

It was awesome!

I guess that depends on where you live and how the word is used in the

that he was acting less than manly.
