I still have two or three episodes left to catch up, and have a couple
of comments about what I've watched so far.

As despicable as Nina is, firing her from her job was nasty (and not an
in-kind response to her treachery, IMO), but giving her job to Carly?
That was pure evil. Drew's eyes had the look of someone possessed by
demons, then Carly--who only minutes before had been conducting
interviews at Bobbie's--waltzes in tarted up in a vampiric leather dress
with hair and makeup done to match. It's been obvious for awhile that
something is wrong with Drew, and now it's obvious that something is
wrong with Carly, too. I figured Drew either had a smoldering case of
PTSD or maybe a fast-growing brain tumor, but neither of those
afflictions are contagious and don't explain Carly. Of course, Carly is
about as qualified to run a magazine as Alexis was to run a newspaper,
still.... What could go wrong? And now, the whole thing with Nina is
just going to escalate far beyond where it was when she was outed as the
SEC snitch. It's all fun and games until someone ends up dead. Jeez.

Curtis and family had to wait an agonizing amount of time for his doctor
to come in to test his reflexes, presumably with a high tech device or
two, but when the doctor pulled out a safety pin, I thought, that's
*it*? A safety pin? Portia or TJ could have done that! For that matter,
so could Stella or Trina or Marshall. For that matter, why wasn't Curtis
asking everyone who walked into his room after the surgery to stick his
foot with a pin? For petessake! LOL!!!

Your reaction to the firing was widespread on other media.

In a couple more episodes, the SEC insider trading scam will show up in a
most unexpected way, so I will not spoil it here.

A few months back, they featured Lois goofing off with Leo doing math
puzzles. In another scene, she discovered a bookkeeping error just looking
over Ned’s shoulder.

I had hopes that they would use this tidbit to crack some mystery.
Embezzlement perhaps?

It seems tho, that Lois has gone home, and her usefulness has expired.

I figured that scene was intended to remind us that Lois is a math
savant, but I suppose it could have been more. We haven't seen her for a
week or so, but we haven't seen Sasha for longer than that and AFAIK,
Sasha hasn't gone anywhere. But if Lois has gone home, she's sure to be
back for the wedding, isn't she? IAC, I like her and hope she sticks
around. OTOH, Nina is welcome to take a hike. And so is Val and his odd
daughter.
