Y'know, I watched the storm rage and Carly writhe in labor pains, and
wondered if we were going to have a deja vu moment with Sonny bursting in
while Claudia delivered Carly's baby and him shooting through Claudia to get
Carly in the head again!
That scene you're referring to is one of my all-time shock and disgust
Sonny scenes - firing a gun towards your own wife in labor - I don't
care if Alcazar was there. I hate Sonny.

Ruby (not me -- I thought it was the height of stupidity and lack of
control, but then Sonny has never been noted for control over HIMSELF. He
just wants to control other people.)
Yet Sonny was forgiven and it's all as if it never happened. Michael
getting shot in the head was much less (a richochet, an accident) evil
and yet Claudia had to die for it. Yes, I know Michael killed her
protecting his mom and sister but Sonny or Jason would have killed her
had they gotten there first and it wouldn't have been purely to
protect Carly. Claudia would've been murdered had she been standing
alone at the side of the road. But St. Sonny? Kissy, kissy,
forgiveness all around. Gag. I hated hearing Michael say to Sonny
yesterday "But, Dad, there is no one better than you" as they were
talking about Sonny's criminal lifestyle.

That scene epitomises for me that Sonny and Claudia were the same.
Shoot first, ask questions later. But Sonny gets away with it. Claudia
had to die. I will never understand Sonny's popularity! Watching him
yesterday, sitting there in his maroon suit and black shirt. He looked
like the cartoon that he is.

I know we've said it before but just what makes everyone say "Sonny is
such a good father" and "Sonny is so good with his kids". In what way?
He's no role model. He constantly demonstrates that he never need take
responsibility for his actions because "it's his business". As far as I
can see he never eats with them, takes them places, watches TV with
them, hell even talk to them. So what's with all the praise from
presumed good parents like Olivia and Carly? He's NOT a good parent.
He has no good parenting skills and is a BAD influence.

*I've* never forgiven Sonny, but it's amazing to me how Carly, Jason and
everyone else lept to forgive him for shooting Carly in the head. Nor was
it even an accident. It was a pretty predictable consequence of shooting in
the direction of one's wife . . . Even if the bullet DID go through Lorenzo
first.

He was supposed to take Morgan to the World Series. Remember that? And
the Yankees actually were in the Series. But he was too busy with his
out-of-town mob activities. And yes, I know they tape well in advance of
events, but it was a big plot point this summer as they introduced Dominic.
