Executive producer Mike Richards confirmed that they have been in contact with Fremantle regarding the future of the show. Fremantle had asked Sony to hire a new host to replace current host Neil Harris if they were to offer them a second season. Sony opted not to continue the show, instead concentrating on upcoming Buzzr originals Russian Roulette and Friend or Foe, revivals of two game shows that were originals on Sony's Game Show Network, a cable network similar to Buzzr, which had in the past aired many of the reruns that are found on Buzzr now. Harris' 65 episodes of Hot Potato will air in reruns throughout the Spring as part of Sony's lease to Fremantle of the Barry & Enright library, which includes the original Hot Potato hosted by Bill Cullen in 1984. Fremantle's Buzzr network currently leases the Bob Stewart, Barry & Enright, and Chuck Barris libraries, along with Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune from Sony. Sony's Game Show Network currently leases the current Steve Harvey run of Family Feud along with 1970s era Match Game from Fremantle. The new versions of Russian Roulette and Friend or Foe are slated to premiere on Buzzr in the Summer.
Well at least they didn't try making it a celebrity show too like the original. That would make it worse.
