Here's my question...could they not have kept the 3 shows that they
have removed from the schedule by not have TWO showings per day
(likely to be 2 showings of the SAME ep each time) of "Tic Tac Dough",
"The Joker's Wild", "The Newlywed Game" & "The Dating Game"?
Also, GSN used to air 2 eps of "Tattletales" daily but one ep was from
the 70s run and the other was from the 80s run..."Tattletales"
continues to air twice a day...but it's the SAME episode from the 70s
in both slots. Why are they doing this???
And what the hell is GAME WORLD??? Is this GSN's way to hold a place
on the schedule for Pyramid? I mean, WHERE IS PYRAMID ANYWAY???
Who is programming GSN? Do they really know what they are doing?
What do ya'll think???
Jake
Looks like one of the '60s "Password" airings is gone as well.
> And here's what's new:
> THE PRICE IS RIGHT (Bob Barker 1/2 hour 1972-75 eps)
> THE PRICE IS RIGHT (Tom Kennedy)
> FAMILY FEUD (ABC eps from 1976)
> FAMILY FEUD CHALLENGE (Ray Combs hour eps)
> CARD SHARKS (Bill Rafferty)
This is WAY too much "Family Feud" for my taste. They got rid of
"Password Plus" for THIS????!!!!
Actually, you could do without the "Newlywed" and "Dating" games
altogether, and it'd work for me.
> I mean, WHERE IS PYRAMID ANYWAY???
HERE'S the real question.
The Beatmaster
Give this a chance. With any luck, you might get English-language non-American
game shows for half an hour a weekday. I dare say they'll go for some fairly
familiar stock at first, but they might eventually start to do wacky things
like showing, say, UK shows whose format you've never seen in the States. If
they show any British stuff at all, I want it. :-)
Alternatively, it might be half an hour of talk... well, if it's game-related
or game-show-related, it might not be too bad.
Wait and see!
Take care

Perhaps you could have also listed next to the GSN schedule what years
they are currently showing of these shows. For example, are they
showing the 1980-81 season of Tic Tac Dough and the 1985-86 syndie

BTW, just so you know, I'd like to propose my list of shows which I feel

Well, if the 2nd anniversary had anything to do with it, why did shows
like Blockbusters (which I love), Child's Play and Tattletales survive
while Password Plus bit the dust? It was voted more popular than
those 3...and if the voting mattered, where is Double Dare on the

My theory about Clevelanders on Jeopardy! since 1995:
"Anytime a Greater Clevelander appears on J!, he/she will be
a returning champion. If he/she returns for a tournament,
he/she will win the tournament."
The proof: Matt Zielinski (1995 Teen Tournament Winner)
Michael Dupee (1996 Tournament of Champions Winner)
James, you need to check a more current date on the website...I've
reviewed every day next week (December 9-13)...none of the above shows
are on the schedule any longer...and since we don't have the schedule
for the weekend of December 14 & 15, we don't know if the Password
Four are still intact...
BUT since Game World has now disappeared from the schedule, they could
easily re-add the shows...they dumped 1.5 hours...they can add 1.5
hours...simple arithmetic...

Chris, I don't believe the new schedule goes into effect until Monday
so what is posted for this weekend is the same old weekend schedule,
but with some TPiR thrown in like they have done on a few
occasions...I would suspect that, by Monday, we will get to see next
weekend's schedule and then we can judge whatever changes have taken
place...
Has anyone noticed that the new show GAME WORLD has already
disappeared from GSN's schedule? It now appears that it might just be
a weekend thing...in that case, I can deal with it...especially since
they have replaced the afternoon edition with ANOTHER half-hour Barker
TPiR (we can't get enough of these!!), the Prime Games edition with
Tattletales (I'd assume the 82-83 version since the 70s version airs
earlier in the day and again in Late Night Games...the one that I have
a problem with is that the Late Night Games edition has been replaced
with yet ANOTHER Dawson ep of Family Feud, bringing it to 2.5 hours of
Feud per day...NO MORE STINKIN' FEUD!! That's just too much!!
Now that they have freed up 1.5 hours per day, they could RESTORE the
3 shows that they yanked from the schedule...doesn't that make the
most sense??
HELLO, GSN??? ARE YOU LISTENING???
Jake
Did it actually air today (Saturday)? I see that it has already
disappeared from GSN's weekday schedule on their web page...

AIRED the show this time last year. (I gots it if ya don't believe
