I am still bewildered as to what happened to the venerable
Goodson-Todman alliance. Did Todman die, get bought out, or get
disconnected from the alliance at Mark Goodson's orders? Maybe one of
you can help me out on this.

He died. But I've read many books that claimed they didn't get along.
When Goodson would have meeting on game formats and Todman would say
something, Goodson would laugh at him and told him to just take care of
the money and he'll worry about the shows. Then again, you can't believe
everything you read.

But the alliance came to an end when Todman did the same.

Goodson bought Todman out shortly before his death.

I see you flunked bonehead English.

Todman was "semi-retired" from the company at the time of his death in the
summer of 1979. His job functions had long since been taken over by Jerry
Chester. A few years later (I don't know the exact year), Goodson bought
out Todman's heirs and the company became Mark Goodson Productions.
