I searched deja news and there was no record of anyone reviewing this game for
this newsgroup. (Someone mentioned buying it but I couldn't find a follow-up.)
Anyway, two to four players can play LMaD with Monty Hall's real voice as
master of ceremonies. The game divides six decks of cards with prizes on each
card between three "boxes" and three "curtains." Sometimes the player is given
the option of a cash prizes as indicated on the digital readout. Monty gives
each player, in turn, a choice between two prizes. The player has seven seconds
to register the choice made by pressing the "trade" or "keep" button. Monty
immediately tells you which prizes card from the assigned deck has been won by
the player. If the player takes longer than seven seconds to register a choice
the player is automatically rewarded with a "zonk."

Each player plays three round before "The Big Deal of the Day." As the show,
each player, in other of most valuable prizes won to least, can choose to make
one final deal. The let down here is when a player agrees to trade that player
isn't given a choice of door number one, door number two or door number three!
Monty tells you what you have won and that is it! When all the players have
done the Big Deal game over. Monty announces the winner and you have killed ten
minutes.

The prizes and play money are superfluous. They are there to give the players
something for the senses. All one needs to play the game is the unit base and
some batteries. The game is okay but it could have been better.

I'll give it a C plus.

P.S.: BTW, I also picked up Electronic The Price is Right. It was better than I
expected. Lots of prize cards and gameplay is resonably close to the series.
Set up a series of games with each player changing the turn order with each
game and then keep a running total of winnings on paper and you would have a
pretty good tournament! Grade: a solid B.

Im doing TPIR for my senior project---i have contestants row finished and now
im starting to work on the games (bits and pieces at a time) and some sound
features. The games to be included in the 1.0 version will be the following:

Lucky Seven
Money Game
Most Expensive
One Right Price
Punch-A-Bunch
Secret "X"
Temptation
2 for the Price of 1
One Away
Spelling Bee

Line 'em Up

Later there will be patches to include the following games in the "line up"

plan to include the option to be able to have the Davidson Showcase Meter

# of perfect and now win shows, etc. will be kept track of, plus the win/loss
percents of all the games...and the option to play any of the games immediately
without playing the show. Also included will be the option to have a
random-game show, or come up with a special set of games u wanna play..AND
every 500th show or 1000th show will be a "special" with fantastic prizes and
showcases!!!

Any comments/suggestions feel free to email me!!!

If you're looking to add any of the Tiger Electronics hand-held versions of
TPIR, LMAD, FF, or NTT to your collection, this may be the week to do it. My
Sunday paper had a Toys R Us flyer with a coupon good on those (and several
other Tiger games), buy one, get one free.

(Those GS fans who are also partial to WWF will find a coupon for a free "RAW
is WAR" wrestling ring with purchase of 4 individual WWF action figures, if you
need any more reason to visit the store this week, but I digress.)

To bring this back into the game show realm, the PC software version of "You
Don't Know Jack" is on sale for $9.99 in the same flyer.

Either that, or if you have a Hills store around, you obviously know they're
unloading all their stock (before they comvert the stores to Ames). Most of
the ones I've been to stil have a ton of LMAD, TPIR, and NTTs lying around
(even at 40% off).

Hills is already gone here in Pittsburgh, and Ames just opened ... however you
can also check your local Wal-Mart. They had the LMAD game for $10, and TPIR
for $5!
