Is Score Productions still in business? Does anyone in here have any
information about the company?

Absolutely! Bob Israel founded the company in the early 1960's and still
runs it today. He's had a number of plum clients over the years,
including Mark Goodson-Bill Todman Productions.

Definately still in business. They produce a lot less game show music these
days for obvious reasons..... THERE ARN'T ANY!!!!!! But other than that they
have quite a hand in producing music for CNN, ABC and other productions
besides game shows. Score Productions is still as alive and well.

Dear Listmembers,

Can someone tell me where I can write Score Productions? I would like to
suggest to them that they put out music cues from The Price Is Right
(including the theme song) on compact disc. Believe me, I would be one of
those T.P.I.R. fans playing this disc over and over again. Some selections
I would suggest to include are:

Second Thoughts
Starcrossed
The Big Banana
Bhen
Phaser
Sam
Deja Vu
Fee Plug Music (played before the Showcase Showdowns begin. The version I
would prefer is one I've heard elsewhere in the show during certain pricing
games with strings and horns.)
Rye Bred
Amen, Brother Herbert
Walking
Spring Waltz
The Bean Stalker
1972 Showcase/I.U.F.B.
Trip/Vacation Music (1983)
Dig We Must
Splendido!
Brioche
Tachlen
Robert
Ralph
Old Come On Down Music (1972-1975)
Opening Come On Down Music (1972-1975)
The Cats
Match Game/Hollywood Squares Hour Theme
Losing Horns
T.P.I.R. Theme (1983 version that was never aired)
New Car Music (I don't know the actual name of this music cue. This is a
different one other than "The Bean Stalker.")
Eric

Anyway, please let me know about their address. Thank you.

***** Good Luck trying to get any music directly from Score. At one time you
were able to do that but these days they have a policy in effect to not
release anything to the general public. But if you would like to recommend
that they release music on a CD then I guess it wouldn't hurt. Write to Bob
Isreal. I don't have the address but I'm sure you can look it up on the net.
By the way I have seen lots of bad information on the net about who wrote the
MATCH GAME HOLLYWOOD SQUARES theme. Many of you give that credit to Score
Productions. However this is totally incorrect. Score Productions had nothing
to do with that music and they even they told me that back when the show was
on the air. The credit for MATCH GAME HOLLYWOOD SQUARES HOUR should go to Edd
Kalehoff who composed that theme back in 1983.

I believe that Score Productions has offices in both New York City and Los
Angeles. The NYC information I have for the company is quite old (from the
1970s) and may be obsolete; however, here it is:

Score Productions, Inc.
249 East 49th Street
New York City, New York 10017

212-751-2510

219, not 249, according to the current NYC phone book.
