Out of the 1978-1980 and the 1987-1988 opening themes of High Rollers, which
one do you like better? I've listened to them both, and to be honest, I like
the 1987-1988 version better. That's just my opinion, though.

P.S. Was the theme from the 1978-1980 version of HR also used on the 1974-1976
version of HR?

No contest. I really don't think the 80's were the best period for Score
Productions, while the "High Rollers" theme represents some of Stan Worth's
best work. I'd have to go with the 1978-1980 version, which includes a bunch
of new cues composed for that version of the show.

Yes. There were quite a few changes from one version to the other, but they
kept the two best things about the original show: Alex Trebek, and that
theme music.

Yep.

Mark Jeffries--I swear on the soul of Dan Enright that these posts are correct.

On my themes.html page, I have a WAV file of the drumroll played when
the numbers went into place. It's from the last episode in 1980.
