Not quite -- watch the credits, and you'll notice that, on the first page of
prize credits, "Buick Motor Division" is the first one listed. You'll also
notice it's on the page that says "The following suppliers of products have
paid for their use and promotion:".

Translation: The car by the maker listed is a FEE ITEM -- that is, Buick paid
TPIR/Goodson to use the car as a prize. This happens all the time. You just
have to watch the credits to know when it happens. :)

As I said, my cable was out due to the storms/winds/cold/rain but thanks for
pointing this out.

*BUT* even without the Buick Century, it's still about $82K in cars...still a
bit odd isn't it?

>bit odd isn't it?

Let's go over the cars first. We had:

Chevy Metro (No ARP given -- SB package worth $15,794)
Mercury Mystique (ARP $16,955)
Lincoln Continental (ARP $45,760)
Buick Century (No ARP given -- Showcase worth $21,157)

We KNOW the Buick was a fee item -- Buick Motor Division was in the credits.
What's stranger is the Metro has NO credit in it, while the Mercury and Lincoln
have separate dealers listed in the credits as supplying the prize for less
than retail. The question is where did the Chevy come from. (Best guess: It was
sitting in the prize pit, and they needed to get it out -- which they did.)

Is it odd? Somewhat, but the Buick being a fee item makes it less so. If the
Buick had come from a dealer, THEN we would have something to talk about! :)
