I know is (was) is the former host of Family Feud who suffered from
depression and then killed (hanged?) himself.

The rest is an in-joke you would have to ask regular posters about as I am
just visiting.

That was just B.J. Brown doing his troll impression. Ray Combs was the host
of Family Feud from 1988-94 and Family Challenge from 1995-96. Sadly, he
hung himself in June '96, so he won't be on any more game shows.

Hung himself? I thought Ray Combs committed suicide by ODing off some pills.

Nope, he hung himself with a bedsheet in a hospital I believe

The late Ray Combs did hang himself, in his hospital room. He did
suffer from depression, by the terrible car accident, his marriage
breaking up and Richard Dawson replacing him on Family Feud. Insiders
say that he hated doing the Family Challenge. Now, let him rest in
peace. Mike.

In my recollection, Ray Combs Overdosed on some pills wich landed him
in the hospital, and it was there where he hung himself.

BTW, does anyone know the circumstances leading up to this?

Am I the only one who actually liked the Family Feud Challenge?

And I read that this was in a room that was supposed to be "suicide-proof".

No, Ben, the Family Challenge. That stupid stunt show on the now
defunct Family Channel. Mike.

Oops... this is what I get for leaving my EOTVGS at home when I left for
college. But you're right, now that I think a bit. He also did host Family
Challenge, and Michael Burger (of MG 98 fame) succeeded him on it.
